WeAreNorthDakota Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Glad they were able to pull that out for the seniors. Well done guys. Quote
geaux_sioux Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Nope. The four-year reduction in scholarships began with the 2013-2014 season. Damn. Quote
geaux_sioux Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 What I took away from this game is that it was too bad that Will Lewis was injured most of the season. He had a nice game and has usually looked solid. Quote
homer Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Always nice to see the seniors go out with a win in their last game at home. Congrats to those guys. This will be a positive part to what has been a frustrating season for them. Quote
Westside Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Watched parts of the 2nd half. Nice to see the Seniors go out w/ a "W" at home. Finally saw some emotion out of the team towards the end. It's a "W" but doesn't change the fact that major changes are needed for the program going forward. Quote
bincitysioux Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Entertaining game. Nice to get a win. Won the first home game and last home game. Now if we could just delete the five games in between. Lots of guys got banged up today. Wallace and Welch on crutches after the game. Quote
MissSioux85 Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Any word on attendance? 5,984 (GF Herald) Quote
homer Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 I also think Golloday has taken his game to another level the last few games. The thing that has impressed me the most has been how well he blocks on the edge. Next year him and Jackson will be about as solid tandem of blocking WR you will find. Quote
darell1976 Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 I think we found our starter for the next 3 years...Ryan Bartels. Quote
MoSiouxFan Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 UNC has got to be the cockiest 1-8 team in history Now they can be the cockiest 1-9 team. Quote
sioux24/7 Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 I think we found our starter for the next 3 years...Ryan Bartels. Think Mollberg will transfer? Quote
geaux_sioux Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Bartels looks so much better than he did earlier this year. He's throwing fewer ducks and wisely ate the football a few times. He was asked to carry the team with his arm and got it done. He also showed some great leadership on the sideline. His improvement has been huge and he's got a great attitude. Hopefully Mollberg can do this same Quote
geaux_sioux Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Think Mollberg will transfer? If he does he's mentally weak. He should work his ass off and become a better player and earn the job back just like Bartels did. Quote

If there is a new coaching staff in place next year, I'd think both Mollberg & Bartles start w/ a clean slate & it is an open competition going forward. Also depends on Offensive scheme that a new staff would run. Quote
geaux_sioux Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 I'm not sure what to make of the stats from this game. We rushed for 4 yards............... On 23 attempts.......... We did, however, own possession with 34min and forced two very important turnovers. I'll also take only 4 penalties for 26 any day. With that said, it still isn't good enough. UNC just isn't good and we looked pretty bad at times. The bar needs to be raised a lot. Quote

I was also pleased that Bartels didn't make any terrible throws. His picks were all in the wr. He was in complete control today. But we still ran for only 4 freaking yards Quote

iluvdebbies Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 Nope. The four-year reduction in scholarships began with the 2013-2014 season. Nope. The scholarship reductions are to begin with the 2014 season. The NCAA has since reduced the scholarship penalties. Quote

Seems to me that a sack should count against a team's passing yards but not the qb's individual passing yards. Quote
UND92,96 Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 Was this the first time Schleusner has been on the sidelines rather than upstairs? Quote
