SIOUXELEVENS Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 I think Hakstol should watch how these teams play and emulate this style, no cycle at least not much, third guy high not all three below the red line. This is how we Should play with the speed and talent we have. Quote
Wilbur Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 I think Hakstol should watch how these teams play and emulate this style, no cycle at least not much, third guy high not all three below the red line. This is how we Should play with the speed and talent we have. I'm a huge fan of Yale's system. Puck pressure in all zones. No matter what line is on the ice, puck pressure. Quinnipiac's big guy lives behind the net, has a great game against SCSU because they basically give him the space below the goal line. Yale says screw that, and he isn't able to get comfortable down there because he's got a guy with him attacking his stick the entire time. Give credit to both teams. Its not a zone to zone game. The pace is fantastic. Quote
SIOUXELEVENS Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 Exactly puck pressure, fast pace and everybody skating hard and fast. Not giving up possession by just clearing it off the glass and resetting all the time. Quote
Wilbur Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 How does that Peca kid end up at Quinnipiac? How does BU/BC/Maine/(Insert other eastern school) not end up with this kid. Quote
Emerald joker Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 That was goaltender interference, seriously? the commentator said the goalie got hit hard? WOW Quote
MafiaMan Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 Pretty lame goaltender interference call... Quote
MafiaMan Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 Great action! Gary Thorne was the best but Buccigross does love college hockey. You can tell he's a fan of the college game. Quote
MafiaMan Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 3rd penalty in the game for goalie interference...not sure I have ever seen that in one game before. Quote
Emerald joker Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 I don't think those penalties would be called I'm the WCHA, That's probably why we don't see em Quote
Siouxman Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 Yale yea yea! Yeah Bulldog Bulldog............I don't think that works Quote
MafiaMan Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 It's definitely the long paw that bugs me...yea...gotta be the paw. Quote
MafiaMan Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 Wilbur? Emerald joker? Siouxman? Am I all by myself now? Quote
runaroundsioux Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 I guess us losing to the best team in the country (at this time of the year anyway) does make it sting a little less now. Quote
Emerald joker Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 Wilbur? Emerald joker? Siouxman? Am I all by myself now? I was playing nhl 13 during the intermision. Quote
MafiaMan Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 I somehow feel robbed. C'mon...that's like saying the team Louisville beat in the 2nd round feels robbed. Yale's run reminds me of Michigan State's a few years back... Quote
Emerald joker Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 I think either one of these teams would have beat the sioux in this game, that hurts to say Quote
MafiaMan Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 I was playing nhl 13 during the intermision. Are the Flyers having a better season there than in real-life? Quote
