bincitysioux Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 Game is 6:30 tonight, and on Big Sky TV as usual. The Sioux are 9.5 point underdogs to Weber. If they play for 40 minutes tonight the way we did for the last 20 minutes last night, we will be right there for the upset. Weber is the most athletic team in the league, but we are the second most athletic. If we bring our A game, we can play with anybody. Go Sioux! Quote
sioux2013 Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 We must first figure out how to stop their inside game cause they go down low on almost every possession with their bigs. Wilmer must once again be a force down low and not get into foul trouble against all their bigs. Brekke also needs to come in and play like he is capable down low. On offense we must play like we did the last 20 minutes yesterday and find our shooters when they collapse on our drives. We will not be able to drive and think we can shoot over their bigs or they will have 10+ blocks. It will be difficult but this team finds ways to win in the tournament each year. Can't wait and lets go Sioux. Quote
darell1976 Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 UND will have to be flawless to beat Weber State. Stay out of foul trouble, limit turnovers, and hit the free throws. Quote
teamsioux Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 Hopefully Montana crowd gets there early as I would guess they will back us over facing Weber St. Quote
homer Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 Looking forward to the game tonight. Maybe we're peaking at the right time now that we are healthy. Move the ball and carry over the team play from the second half yesterday and we'll have a chance. Quote
jdub27 Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 Wilmer needs to play like he did last night and limit fouls. Brekke needs to have a much better game. Need to get the dribble drive and kick out going like the 2nd half last night and hit the shots. UND has the talent to pull it off, but are going to have to play a very good game to do it. Quote
SiouxVolley Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 Biggest game in decades for UND men's basketball. Will Wilmer and Brekke both need to on the court to stop Weber's bigs? That would really be a switch in lineup. One key has to be the ability to hit the three, to keep Weber from collapsing in and stopping the drives. Think it will be either very close or a blow out be Weber. Surprised by the limited talk here. After all, Michigan Tech isn't that much of a challenge on the hockey side. Quote
