UND Fan Posted February 1, 2014 Author Posted February 1, 2014 Not surprising, PG Jarvis Garrett has removed us from his consideration. He probably realized that we no longer have need for a PG. Quote
sioux24/7 Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 I did some quick updates on the Wiki page that I have seen. I am sure I missed some stuff but that's just what I know. I am really wondering when Ngor is going to commit somewhere. He just had a nice 21 pt and 15 rebound game the other night. We could sure use him! Quote
sioux24/7 Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Anyone have any info on if we offered Tyrone Taylor? On wiki it says we did but I can't find anything anywhere saying we have. Quote
UND Fan Posted February 11, 2014 Author Posted February 11, 2014 Taylor is a 6'3", 165, PG from Glenview, MO. Very good player - will be tough to get with a bunch of offers and more to come. Our offer isn't noted on most of the recruiting websites. It is at: NY2LASPORTS.COM Quote
UND Fan Posted February 14, 2014 Author Posted February 14, 2014 We are looking at another Taylor - Justin, a SG/SF from Thornton Township HS in Harvey, IL. Depending where you look, he is listed at 6'4" to 6'6". He is averaging about 17 pts and 11 rebounds for his 10-3 team. He has an offer from Chicago State. Quote
sioux24/7 Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 Arroyo Edwards has narrowed his list down IPFW, WKU, UTSA, UW-GB and UND. He is also gaining interest from Ole Miss. This would be a huge get and would be very helpful to this team next season. Quote

This would be a huge get and would be very helpful to this team next season. I think he's the kind of slasher/wing type player who can fill an immediate role next year. That last guy we got from Milwaukee seems to have worked out pretty good as well. I'd assume he'd have 2 years of eligibility left? Quote

NewUNDAlum Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 I went and watched Minot vs Davies tonight at the State A tournament and all I can say is that Tanner Kretchman is an absolute stud that UND should have went very hard after. It was the first time I've seen him play. I had heard the stories about how good he is but until I watched him put up 45 on Minot tonight I didn't believe it. The kid is obviously a bit undersized but my god can he score. Easily the best North Dakota shooter since Boschee. Quote
sioux24/7 Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 I am really curious why Barnaba hasn't committed anywhere yet. I really want to land him and Arroyo Edwards. Quote
sioux24/7 Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 I am starting to wonder if we no longer have an offer out to Ngor Barnaba. According to this http://www.northstar...14-ngor-barnaba he only has offers from Community Colleges. I would be a little disappointed if this is true because we need more big bodies! Also, I would not be disappointed if we gave an offer to Houston Lavachek. He has good size and can shoot the ball. Obviously a stretch but reminds me of a poor man's Doug McDermott. Maybe it is just because they are both tall and can shoot the three ball. Quote

Must be having trouble qualifying! I agree that we need this type of size! Quote
sioux24/7 Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Arroyo Edwards is reportedly taking visits to UTSA and Western Kentucky in the next couple of weeks. If we have any chance at getting him we need to get him on campus I would say. Quote
jjensen Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 Does anyone know if we are interested in Shaun Stewart a JC SG from Cloud Community College? http://stats.njcaa.o...haunstewartk88h Has some pretty good stats there. Quote
UND Fan Posted March 28, 2014 Author Posted March 28, 2014 We have offered Fred Iduwe, 6'11", 220 - originally from Nigeria. Played prep ball at St. Johns NW Military Academy. He also has an offer from Green Bay. ***** Additional information: Iduwe has only played BB for three years - two at Central Park HS in AL and this last year at St. Johns Prep. Very athletic and can run all day long but very limited offensively so far. This "project" could turn out to be a great "get" for someone. He is visiting Georgia this weekend and Memphis visited him yesterday. The Gophers are also showing some interest in him. I had never heard of St. Johns Prep but they have turned out some very good players - one recently was Lawrence Alexander, SU's PG. Quote

Generally a player of this size with limited experience is never going to be very good on the offensive end but are generally very good at blocking shots and altering shots on the defensive end which is not a bad thing to have. nodak651 Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Anyone have a northstarhoops account? They just did a recruiting report for ngor Quote
sioux24/7 Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Apparently Arroyo Edwards has narrowed his list down to UND, UTSA and Western Kentucky. It also appears UT Martin has offered him now. It will be huge if we land him! 1 Quote
UND Fan Posted April 4, 2014 Author Posted April 4, 2014 I am surprised (and concerned) that there has been no indication who we are hoping to sign (other than Arroyo, Iduwe and maybe Barnaba). In today's age of blogs and other social media, most of this activity is public knowledge. Plus, with our having three scholarships available and a great need at the 4 & 5, you would think we would have offers out to 4-5 prospects. Hopefully, we do and we will all be excited when April 16th arrives! Quote
Hambone Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 UND has received a commitment from Josiah Coleman, JUCO from Iowa Western. Out of HS he had offers from Wyoming, Coppin St and Sacj State. Not sure on current offers. Edit - see an offer from UT - Pan Am, Chicago State and Samford. https://athletics.iwcc.edu/sports/player.asp?sport=basketball_m&int=1781 Quote
SWSiouxMN Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Looks like we are raiding the same JUCO we got Traylor from. Can score from both inside and out and is athletic. Quote
sioux24/7 Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 He had offers from Wyoming, Coppin State and Sac State coming out of high school but didn't have the academics. Quote
sioux24/7 Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Here is Coleman's high school highlights: He looks like a good addition that will be key next year. Quote
sioux2013 Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 Here is Coleman's high school highlights: He looks like a good addition that will be key next year. Could he play the 4 or does he play the 3? Looks good for either position to me. Quote
