SIOUXFAN97 Posted yesterday at 03:42 PM Posted yesterday at 03:42 PM Great idea #106 UND withdraws from the MVFC and goes INDY 1AA... then schedule all road games against 1A schools...ones we can win (see ndac's rough 1a opponents for example).... then schedule all home games Pioneer League members.... example of a 12 game schedule away-UTEP=w home-Valpo=w away-Wyoming=? home-St Thomas=w away-Missouri State=w home-Drake=w away-San Jose State=w home-Butler=w away-Bowling Green=w home-Stetson=w away-Hawaii=w home-San Diego=w 10-2 9-3 or 8-4 gets you in the FCS playoffs heads would explode in Cass County....we'd be 1.5a without paying 18 milly to do so..... your welcome 1 Quote

SIOUXFAN97 Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago if big sky and summit/mvfc merged into the above 1.5a territory....und, usd, sdsu, um, msu, idaho, weber, and portland (with omaha and st thomas non fb) if all the fb teams adopted the same scheduling formula 1. FCS opponent-Home and Home 2. FCS opponent-always Home 3. FBS -away 4. FBS away 5. The Sicatoka Posted 3 hours ago Author Posted 3 hours ago Noise that the MAC may be in trouble: https://csnbbs.com/thread-1026148.html They (ab)used Sac St for operating capital is how it's looking now. If the MAC needs members I hope Armacost and Chaves are listening. And if they "need" members the entry fee should be far more reasonable. 2 1 Quote

The MAC seems about as thrilling as the prospect of Summit League football. I would never consider the MAC a step up from the MVFC. 1 Quote

I would never consider the MAC a step up from the MVFC. If appreciable TV revenue becomes a part of the deal, then the MAC (FBS) would be a step up from the MVFC and UND should pursue. The relationship already in place with some of the schools via hockey should be entertained. Otherwise, from an on the field perspective, I agree; the MAC is essentially the same if not worse than the MVFC. 1 Quote

And they're in November exclusively. Getting a home game Tuesday the week of deer opener would be a decent trade. https://www.forbes.com/sites/timcasey/2025/11/11/how-the-mid-american-conference-and-espn-made-maction-mid-week-football-popular/ 2 Quote

Boise State did the same thing when they were building their program. Quote
