und, sdac, st thomas, and omaha to MAC

adds 2 fb and 2 olys with hockey

MAC already has 4 hockey schools....adds 3 more above and grab asu, denver, and AF

western michigan, miami, bowling green, umass, und, st thomas, omaha, asu, denver, and air force.

not bad.

Nothing spectacular.   Played for NDSU has a marketing degree and did some stuff at Northern Illinois.  He became head of the TM in 2019.

the MAC has 4 schools sponsor mens hockey...2 in nchc, 1 in hockey east and 1 in ccha....if 2 existing schools added hockey or the MAC added 2 more hockey schools would the MAC then sponsor varsity hockey (six schools like the big10).....or would they just let em choose their respective conferences?

I hope UND can resist the urge to follow them off the cliff. Unfortunately the obsession some have with NDSU is considerable.

Very unfortunate post, which feels very similar to what fans were saying in 2003. Nobody knows how will work out. I've learned not to bet against them but do feel they are taking a risk (more-so after seeing not only the $ amount they are paying, but also, not taking TV $ for X amount of years). Good news, I feel good about the like-minded schools that are left in the FCS (which UND is a part of).

Going to be fascinating to follow over the next few years.

A guy I work with referees in MVFC.  They are worried about what NDSU leaving means to their profession too.  Will the conference cut a referee crew?

Last night he got a text from someone and said - sh!t, SDSU going FBS next year.  Maybe said CUSA.  I didn't get a chance to talk to him about it but I don't see anything online.  Something to keep an eye on.

read an article about sdac's ad or pres...can't remember which but he essentially said they aint going anywhere anytime soon and it will be fun to have the d4 back together in about 5 years....

But according to @gfhockey, it doesn't matter because the NDUS is changing their funding formula. 

I don't care what the funding formula is or how much they make off of pull tabs, that is a huge amount of money ANNUALLY just to reach the average funding level of the MWC.
