Good point, we all look at the recruits like Zellers, and Mac Swanson coming in, and inevitably some guys unexpectedly make a bigger impact then we anticipate. Who would have thought Littler would produce 7 goals despite being in and out of the lineup? Curious to see if Klee can use his size effectively at the college level as well. 1 Quote
brianvf Posted Tuesday at 03:26 AM Posted Tuesday at 03:26 AM Haha, he sure did change HS a lot. If he sticks with the Force for a few years, it gives me hope that he could stick with UND for a few as well. Quote
Popular Post mygarske Posted Tuesday at 06:06 PM Popular Post Posted Tuesday at 06:06 PM After breaking the single season goal record for Green Bay Gamblers on Saturday night, Zellers continued scoring for 5 pts (3 🚨 2 🍏) on the weekend. He now leads the USHL with 44 tucks in 48 games, and 25 apples, for a total of 69 points, tying him for the league lead in total points. The amazing stat is he has played 48 games, the kid he's tied with for points, Landon Gunderson (ironically also from Maple Grove) has played in 57 games. GB reports he missed some preseason games to make sure he was fully recovered, and was in Canada for World Junior A tournament. In a post game interview he said now that he broke the GB record, he's shooting to hit 50 goals on the season. For perspective, in 2022-23 Mack Celebrini in played 50 games, had 46g 40a for 86 pts. https://ushl.com/ht/#/player-stats 5 Quote

The stat that I like the most of his (other than goals, of course) is by how much he leads the league in SOG. He’s not afraid to shoot, which is something that is good to see when you so often see players pass up shooting chances trying to setup the perfect goal. Quote

Popular Post AlphaMikeFoxtrot Posted 20 hours ago Popular Post Posted 20 hours ago More Zakreski scouting from last night: Screened the goalie on a PP goal right off the bat. Good netfront presence is noticeable about him. Finished every check; doesn't have the size of the heavy line (and less likely to get a cup of coffee in the N like they all did), but plays that way more than any forward we've had since them. Team was down by 1 at the end of the third; didn't leave the ice and was leading strategy conversation the whole time. They scored an EA goal with under 30 seconds that wouldn't have happened without him keeping possession and moving it in tight. Got absolutely rocked right in front of me in OT; skated gingerly back to the bench but was out there next shift like nothing happened. Wasn't going to miss a chance to skate in the playoffs! Game went to 2OT and he still had gas. Energy guy through and through, foot always on the pedal. He's on a point drought. Scored two goals in the first period of Game 1 and hasn't registered anything since (up 3-1 in the series); had two Grade A looks that he didn't convert. On the flip side, had two slick set ups that more skilled teammates would have converted. The points will come, and he shouldn't have trouble adjusting to NCAA. Game 5 is Friday at 7pm pacific, free on Victory Plus. 7 Quote

What a roller coaster. 1 Quote

What a roller coaster. It was worded terribly. I saw some Maine fan quote tweet it with “Maine! Maine! Maine!” So clearly they misread it lol. Quote
