RedFrog Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 Beautiful deflection goal. He makes it look like artwork. Lifted his left leg so the puck can travel off his stick through the legs and over the goaltender. Parise's goal turns out to be the GWG, his 3rd of the season. Parise Deflection Goal Quote

31-9 Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 Parise receives an in season salary bonus. Quote
31-9 Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 PP goal tonight for Zajac . . . slam dunk at the post off a feed from Elias. Quote
BudLight Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 I'm watching the Devs game.... Good job Zajac!! (Well I'm TRYING to watch the game... My internet likes to buffer every 2 seconds....) Quote
31-9 Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 Goal number 2 on the night for Travis! Now Zajac's "fighting" with Girardi. Award a primary assist to Parise on Zajac's second goal giving him 30 pts on the season. Pretty sure Parise's got another point coming here on a shorthanded goal . . . yes, a secondary assist. The weird thing is, Parise is never on the PK but tonight it worked. Zajac: 1 G, 1 fight Parise: 2 A Quote
UNDintheNHL Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 Bayda had an assist last night in Carolina's game.....up 5-1 going into the 3rd, then lost 6-5 in the SO. ouch. Quote

31-9 Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 Zajac has 2 G's now and Parise with 3 A's Yup, but I'm not too fond of the score as of now. Parise also missed on a breakaway, lost the puck as he took it to the backhand and it squibbed wide. Wait, Devils take the lead, but no Sioux involved on the goal. Zajac appears to be injured. Now, Parise has four assists. Quote
BudLight Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 Zajac was the 3rd star of the game for the Devs... He is also apparently injured, although there are no details on that.. Quote
31-9 Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 Zajac was the 3rd star of the game for the Devs... He is also apparently injured, although there are no details on that.. Update on Zajac from Zajac: Not injured He's got a fat lip from his fight and they kept him out as a precautionary measure. Didn't want to rip open his stitches. He'll play tomorrow night. Update on Zajac from Coach Sutter: We don't know if he'll be able to go tomorrow. We'll see what he's like tomorrow. Quote
sioux rube Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 Any video on Zajacs goals and fight? Quote
BudLight Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 Landon Wilson got 2 assists in the Stars' win over the Wings tonight. Toews got an assist in the Hawks' win over the Avs tonight also. ALSO... Stafford got an assist and Blake got a penalty in the Leafs/Sabres game tonight. Quote

sioux rube Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 Goal 1 Goal 2 Fight Thanks 31-9.Looks like Zajac should leave the fighting to the guys who get paid to do it.Give him credit though for not backing down. Quote
redwing77 Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 Bayda had an assist last night in Carolina's game.....up 5-1 going into the 3rd, then lost 6-5 in the SO. ouch. Watched that game. In the span of two days, two games featured collosal collapses. Carolina collapsed and lost on the 11th. New Jersey collapsed and squeaked out a win last night. Quote
31-9 Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 I saw this little factoid on hfboards, and I just had to mention it here. Parise is 5th in the NHL in pts/game. The four people ahead of him? . . . Malkin, Semin, Crosby, Ovechkin. That's pretty amazing. If he keeps it up, he's on pace for a 104 point season. Hopefully, he'll get at least 80; that's not too much to ask. Quote

Siouxdonyms Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 Yup, but I'm not too fond of the score as of now. Parise also missed on a breakaway, lost the puck as he took it to the backhand and it squibbed wide. Wait, Devils take the lead, but no Sioux involved on the goal. Zajac appears to be injured. Now, Parise has four assists. That's unlike Zach on the backhand, as he seems to have really mastered the backhand shot, especially in shootouts. He's figured out how to roof it to where it hits the top inside part of the cage, giving the goalie virtually no chance at it. I believe it was Chico Resch who just commented the other night how Travis is having a tough time finding the net. Since that comment, he's found it 3 times. Good for him. Parise gets #1 star in the NHL (Scotiabank 3 Stars) last night with 4 assists. I was kind of surprised by this, as he was kind of unnoticed in setting them up, on a couple of the goals. Quote
