  1. Ahh, that's why the Goofers are where they're at now. Yup, recruits just love seeing 5,000 empty maroon seats but knowing there are a buku multitude of paying cable/webstream consumers. Yup, it's sure working out well.
  2. You may have hit on something there. Either that or our scouting is really mis-reading recruits and their ability potential levels.
  3. God forbid we make yet another mediocre/average goalie/defense look all-star caliber in one of the two games. New Year's resolution, it ain't gonna happen!.
  4. Fair enough, can't argue. Agree, I think you're spot on with the soph and frosh classes and jr class has been a slight miss (which I've said on this site previously).
  5. Was at U Wis football game 2 seasons ago and student section (opposite side) were going back and forth with one side yelling "f___ you" and the other side "eat s___" (a take-off on the old Miller Lite slogan). Was at the opposite end of the stadium and heard it loud and clear. I never heard a warning from the PA announcer to stop the chant.
  6. Or a decade ago (?) when it was in GF which may as well be in Canada...Any way that can happen again?
  7. Actually, the 6 for 16 was "from deep" per Tom Miller's tweet. If that's the case, I take that to mean 3 pointers. If so, then hitting 37.5% of treys isn't exactly "dreadful efficiency". If that's for all fg attempts then agree, not very good.
  8. Uh, is that really a "good" stat (kinda like a backhanded compliment)?
  9. Bartender, I'll have what those BTN announcers are having!
  10. Huh??? Yeah, attendance has just plummeted for UND hockey while it's gone thru the roof for the Goofers since they and Wisco went to the b10 conf and UND formed the NCHC. Bartender, I'll have what he's having!
  11. Not saying I disagree with your or question your judgment but I'll make my opinion as to whether the incoming pipeline is "pretty special" based on their performance on the ice (not on paper) after they've been at UND for a year or two. The way this team has performed the last few years, how many draft picks we have doesn't necessarily seem to equate to performance on the ice (especially offensively).
  12. It seems just about every time when there's been a bit of momentum in ftbl and that next win can really get it rolling, then we have the huge let-down whether we blow a late lead against a good team or we stink it up vs what really is an inferior team. The last several years it's killed the community excitement/hurt attendance down the line/etc. it seems like almost every season during Bubba's era.
  13. Yah, let's hope they can keep it up.

    2019 Season

Agree. Spot on, I went thru next year's schedule and came up with 6-5.
  15. Yah, he was quite the shooter/scorer, Played HS hoops in Wis, right, or am I wrong?
  16. Spot on. Long range, struggles, but mid range jumper is lethal.
  17. And if Portland St played Maine in a FCS play-off game at let's say a regional in Cincinnati, it would be at least half empty too. Point made is that the NCAA is stupid playing hockey regionals at neutral based sites. For some reason they're a little bit smarter about it when it comes to FCS football playoffs.
  18. ASU is impressing me this season. The NCHC needs to get the Minn St Purple Cows and ASU in our league. And if we're talking facilities, ASU I believe is building a new one or has solid plans in place to do so. 10 in the NCHC is a nice number.
  19. Hey, we can agree to disagree but I would consider it a better coaching job/season if a team goes 20-3 and loses in 1st round of a post-regular season tourney than if the same team goes 13-10 and loses in the 2nd round of a post-regular season tourney (especially when you're talking just 1 a game "series" where anything can happen). Explain how not facing a school's #1 sport gives Brewster 8 free wins? Seriously, you lost me there.
