  1. I think you just nailed it and it puts the Haks/Berry back and forth barbs to rest. He should of been spewing piss and vinegar tonight in post-game interview with Tim on radio but he really wasn't for most part. He actually kind of praised/complimented the team he left behind in the locker room (that they "believe", blah, blah, blah).
  2. I'm out too. Unless I get a free ticket I ain't going to CC series next wknd. My guess is they split but CC now looks like UND of 2015-16 or 2010/011 compared to this effin team.
  3. This is just terrible to watch. It must be so easy/un-stressful for opposing teams anymore to game plan for us anymore. How many effin times have I heard a rise/excitement in Tim's voice on an offensive chance and then it's "oh, the shot is wide", "oh, the puck goes over the net", "oh, he fans on it, "oh, the puck bounces over his stick, "oh, the goalie makes the save", blah blah blah. Cripes.
  4. Yup, no matter how this game ends (e.g. we win 4-2) it still will suck. Seriously.
  5. So our goalie save % on the wknd then is like .800 (real rough math in my head?) while their goalie's save % is like .975 maybe?
  6. Exactly. As I the power play late in 2nd period almost all the shots are from a stationary position thus allowing the goalie to square up and read the angle perfectly vice players shooting off passes while they're actually skating/moving. It has to make it so much easier for a goalie and defensemen.
  7. Yah, Tim on radio initially said how unlucky we were as was off a skate again but watching the play it was piss-poor defense.
  8. Especially when you get home field in the playoffs all the way to the final, which is a "neutral" field (like Vegas was "neutral" for UND hockey this season). Kudos to Moo U, they're brilliant, but it sure makes it an easier path to a title.
  9. Exactly, I texted that several times to some of my buds. NDSU no doubt the best team but EWU had to beat two opponents today and couldn't. Some of the calls and non-calls in 1st qtr and thru early/mid 2nd qtr all went against EWU.
  10. Ironic, first coach to win a natty (albeit with Hak's stellar team) in 1st season but 1st coach to digress (?) in each of his first 4 seasons.
  11. On the plus side, overpriced tickets should get cheaper...
  12. Nope, in retrospect, not at all. Thx for shooting away any glimmer of hope I may have had for next season. : >)
  13. "don't seem to have any creativity in the offensive zone and no finishers" nails it. With the recruits we get (unless we sorely misevaluate potential talent to make it at/progress at the the college level?), coaching has to be lacking. Plain and simple, it's one or the other or a little of both.
  14. Oh man, I hear you. Real late 80s to mid 90s nothing special/not good (?), just like late 60/early 70s to mid 70s (?), until Gasparini was put in charge to right the ship. Even though he nabbed a natty in 1st season with Hak's players, starting to look like Berry might be in same arena with Bjorkman although I have some optimism for next season (not this one) pending if the soph class can get it going.
  15. Got no argument here, always made the playoffs. Teams choke/lose when it's one (loss) and done. Sure wish Berry could put together talented teams or I'd just settle for making the effing playoffs.
  16. You hit it on the head, it just baffles me regarding our lack of finishing/talent up front. I know college is a step up for the players but some of these guys put up big points before coming here (albeit at a lower level) but I see no/very little progression while they're here. The sophs have some good names but we're now halfway thru their 2nd season now and there appears to be a few of them that are starting to look like the under-performing juniors and a few seniors in terms of offensive production. Not a good trend indeed.
  17. Ya gotta get there to choke though. I could of coached the 2016 team to the natty (hell, Haks would of too). Current coach is 3 years in now (it's his team) and we can't even get a win vs Bem, W Mich 2x at home, Canissius,.....
  18. I think he should and if he ain't passionate/angry then get somebody who is.
  19. Well, either way,, you won't read about it until Sunday's (or Tuesday's?) paper.
  20. And freakin' bad shooters (hmm, I think there must be a connection there...). My God.
  21. Yup, and it's readily apparent now I could of won a natty with that team. Man, talk about coattail...
  22. Too effin many!*%$X Either right at the goalie or they miss the net by 3 feet. Unreal.
  23. I realize radio voice Tim Hennesey is a UND paid employee (like Paul Rolston, correct?) but, as much as he expresses his opinions and frustration regarding reffing at times he feels goes against UND, it's truly a miracle he doesn't do the same (this season and last especially) when it comes to the play of this team at times.
  24. And while W Mich is a ranked team, they were giving up just tons of goals prior to coming to GF. They soon rediscovered defense/good goal keeping..
