(diligently prays for perpetual southerly breezes) Seriously, though, why can't people locate facilities like this a bit further out of town? The QoL in Grand Forks is greatly curtailed by the proximity of Simplot and Crystal Sugar as it is. Does anyone think the combination of stinky potatoes with beet waste processing carried over the prevailing winds will be pleasant?
-
For unmanned industry, that's a lot of mans.
-
But is this true along routes frequented by beet trucks and other heavy traffic? In my observation, asphalt tends to ripple in areas with heavy braking.

I heard that they weren't even spoken to at the last practice...rather, the surface cooling system was quietly turned off and the ice literally melted under their skates. At which time they returned to a padlocked dressing room and found their personal belongings strewn about the grounds outside the building. -
North Dakota vs. Minnesota in Las Vegas - October 2018

So, did you at least consider putting them up here for roughly what you paid? Why not put them in the hands of a (grateful) Sioux fan and celebrate not generating even more fees for TicketBastard? Sioux fans profiting off of other Sioux fans is kind of gross (hence the awesome community rules on this site). Sioux fans enabling TM to collect even more $$$ by handling the resale is a crime. -
RIP Tony Sparano. http://www.startribune.com/vikings-assistant-coach-tony-sparano-dies/488833451/ Didn't want to start a 2018-19 Vikings thread only to bring it down with this news, so here you go.

A few years earlier, and the nickname conversation might have taken a completely different path.

That's a band name if ever I heard one. Like if you crossed the Velvet Underground with the Dead Milkmen.

Noble gas, noble warrior. -
MODS - can you please move this thread to Non-Collegiate Sports? Thanks! (and sorry)

Sioux hockey fans can certainly appreciate the angst of WSOP Main Event fans...ESPN sticking with women's softball right to the bloody end tonight. At least they held up the start of poker.

With the nationwide legalization of sports betting, I think the NCAA is on record saying they will revisit (i.e., punt) the championship host rule.
-
Congrats! That was fast. I was thinking this thread might be a good barometer for checking demand, especially given the conversations last season about waning attendance. So much for that idea.

Are those the 'Pocket Full of Kryptonite' Spin Doctors?

As an avowed detester of all things futbol...I watched this game and, yes, I enjoyed the heck out of it.

(sheepishly raises soccer-hating hand)

Yeah. It has a nice leather handle, a combination lock, and holds their papers AND their pens.

Lucrative professional womens hockey deals.

Should have made regular UAL service from GFK to DEN and ORD a prerequisite to the deal.

Do you golf? Do you talk to golfers? This is ALL you hear at Lincoln Park. And why would the city invest (waste) money in developing golf courses when the market was adequately served? As far as I know, UND closing Ray Richards was not on the radar until quite recently.
-
No bigger a nightmare than closing Ray Richards and repurposing the gifted land, in the process alienating the GF golfing community. Assuming a cash infusion from the sale, why not invest in a program that is gaining significant traction, especially at the local youth level as highlighted by OP. Build for the future. At last report, traditional sports such as baseball and football were hemorrhaging young participants.
