I was going to ask if you saw the NDSU game so I looked up the stats. Tommy did fine, but wow! I didn't realize we were that heavy on the run game vs them. We were moving the ball well on the ground vs Boise. Would have loved to see how that game played out had we committed to it. This is the first drive of the second half vs SDSU. Just run the ball.... I kinda feel like when we !@#$ the bed against better teams on the road it might be a scheme thing, where better teams just don't get beat as easily by screen plays. There were quite a few situations in the Boise game that UND was moving the ball and bad play calling (imo) killed drives.

What do ya know... team that loses in the non conference loses during the conference portion of the season as well. Can we promise not to cherry coat a bad non conference record ever again? UND used to compete against some of the best teams in the country. Our schedule was not that difficult to start the year and we lost to some bad teams, and we are still losing to some bad teams.

Play calling has been bad. Just run the damn ball. So many bad play calls this year have ruined the flow of the offense.

Not to mention JMU had the chance to move FBS like 5 - 10 years ago and they turned the offer down, didn't they? Waited until the time was right. Ended up joining the same conference anyway, but both JMU's program and the conf were in a better place when JMU finally made the move.

Why? ESPN doesn't pay, they don't provide any ancillary programming, and they don't care to broadcast anything on linear TV other than the conf championship games. They treat leagues such as the Summit like crap. Screw them.

Yeah his legal stuff is a non issue. The NSIC isn't what it used to be either, however. If UND doesn't have the money to hire a current FCS coach, I think they should think long and hard before firing their coaching staff. I am a bit down on Danny's play calling this year, but if he were promoted to head coach, there's no reason UND couldn't hire someone from the outside as the new OC who could work with Danny to improve the offense even more. Hard to know who is responsible for UND's road struggles without having inside info as to what Danny and Bubba are thinking. Does Danny disagree with anything Bubba is doing for example? Who knows. How much say does Bubba have in respect to play calling and personnel? Freund clearly wasn't on board with Rudolph's philosophy, so, similarly, who's to say he wouldn't make changes if he were promoted to head coach? None of us know those answers.

How many games has this coaching staff lost because they have just settled with below avg kickers?
