  1. Maybe there isnt a stream for competetive reasons? So the first D1 opponents cant scout? Streaming would certainly be nice for out of town Midco Sports + subscribers though. I was looking forward to watching tonight.
  2. I think Jodi mentioned that when he was on the Bill Chaves podcast this fall right?
  3. Has there been a release yet for the Summit CBSSN schedule? CBSSN released their entire basketball slate a few days ago. I think I counted 9 games, not counting the conf tournament. I think I counted St. Thomas, USD, Omaha, NDSU, and UND (vs Alabama) each hosting one game, and SDSU hosts 4 I believe? https://www.cbssports.com/college-basketball/news/cbs-and-cbs-sports-network-2024-25-college-basketball-schedule-features-nearly-300-games/
  4. Here is a direct link to the interactive version https://public.tableau.com/app/profile/sean.moriarty/viz/HateMap_17291404695520/Dashboard1_1#1
  5. It shows that both have each other listed as a secondary rival. The lines are only displayed for everyone's primary rival, but if you click on a team, it will show the primary, two secondary's, and then any other schools that received votes. I'd love to see an option to include lines for schools that are mutually secondary rivalries. The data is there though if you click around.
  6. You can click on each team to see more data. Did you find the interactive part?
  7. Someone put together a cool interactive rivalry map that shows rivalries, along with info about primary, secondary, and non reciprocal rivalries. Great article as well. The creator conducted 700 surveys and he used that data to create the map. https://substack.com/home/post/p-150376861
  8. Even if Jerry isn't good enough to be a starter, I would think it's important to get the backup in-game reps in case the starter gets hurt.. Example. Zimmerman was the backup in 2018 and only had two pass attempts. In 2019, starter went down vs Drake, and Zimmerman was forced to start the second game vs NDSU with essentially zero game experience.
  9. Yeah, the backup QB at Michigan State who will gone next year. He has more pass attempts than our QB that is supposedly raw but has the higher ceiling than our starter. Michigan State is starting their redshirt freshman QB that has a higher ceiling - to develop him. UND doesn't even give our young backup snaps when they have the opportunity. I was comparing the two situations because they are similar in many ways, and because we happen to know MSU's backup QB. Not sure what your point is...
  10. Perhaps if Feeney had more than 23 career pass attempts he would have improved enough to be a viable QB. Instead of improving while at UND, he went from being the backup QB to getting beat out by the walk on. There has been plenty of opportunity both this year, last year, and in prior years to give the backups meaningful reps. Our current QB situation and the lack of improvement is because we don't give the backups game reps. It's kind of a joke that all of this years QB options were on the team last year, and knowing that Tommy was likely gone, they didn't care to get their next starter meaningful reps/experience. Now our current QB is Deer in headlights.
  11. He should have at least as many pass attempts as Tommy Schuster has had this year. There has been plenty of opportunity to get him some game experience. Why don't the coaches work to improve QB depth ever?
  12. Textbook example of a cartel. If schools wanted to form a new conference they would have a slam dunk antitrust case imo.
  13. The NCAA is changing their bylaws so conferences no longer have a minimum team sport requirement (non team sports will satisfy membership requirements now). As such, I'm not so certain I'm still on board with hockey being intertwined with the Summit League. Football would make a heck of a lot more sense though, IMO, but it's impossible to make a radical change like that with so much membership uncertainty. Can't stand the management of the MVFC.
  14. Beat me. Posting anyway because I love that Matt Brown has been running an ad for months about an article he wrote on college hockey. Just kinda funny thats all.
  15. Big reason NDSU wins so many games is they dont turn the ball over. Must win the turnover battle.. will be difficult to do because Cam Miller looks dialed in this year.
  16. Those games are MVFC "games of the week", and as such, they are exclusive to ESPN+ only. Midco CANT produce/broadcast those games. Instead the league pays a company to do it for ESPN+. Fall 2024 MVFC "Game of the Week" Selections for ESPN+ Sept. 28 -- Youngstown State at Missouri State Oct. 5 -- South Dakota at Murray State Oct. 5 – SDSU at UNI Oct. 12 – NDSU at Southern Illinois Oct. 26 -- Southern Illinois at Indiana State Nov. 2 -- North Dakota at Indiana State Nov. 16 -- UNI at Youngstown State Nov. 23 -- North Dakota at Illinois State
  17. Agreed. I'd still like Freunde to come back as HC though, with Fruechte remaining as OC. Red Zone offense still needs to improve... Freunde did really well converting for TD's, but Tommy also had the perfect skill set for QB play in the Red Zone, so not exavtly apples to apples comparison.
  18. Funny enough. Schuster might be the most popular QB at Michigan State. Funny how that works.
  19. 100% but mvc or horizon would be good fits.
  20. Bubba cares more about avoiding a qb controversy than developing the backup qbs imo. Thats his strategy.
  21. Tommy played pretty dang good the other day.
  22. You find an article about that?
  23. Wow. I read their petition now and have signed it.
