I think of 30 pack for 10 bucks at the liquor store when I hear that... and Hawaiian night back at home. Not a national title.

Our buddy over at the BigSkyBball blog with an early look at next year: 8. North Dakota Losses: Jaron Nash, Lenny Antwi, Chad Calcaterra, Ryan Salmonsen, Josiah Coleman, Kraig Shields The sheer number of players leaving the program (either through graduation or transfer) is a bit exhausting, but it's not as bad as it looks. The biggest name is Jaron Nash, and though he was a very talented guy who could do a lot of things, at times he may have hurt the offense more than helped it. The other notable loss is Lenny Antwi, who followed up three OK years with a very solid senior season that saw him become a more consistent outside threat. However, they still have some guys, especially in the backourt. Quinton Hooker took the big step forward that many people thought he would as a sophomore, becoming a steady PG with improved scoring punch. He will be an all-conference candidate type of player next year, and is easily their most important guy. He is joined in the backcourt by two transfers from last year who will be seniors - Estan Tyler and Terrell de Rouen. Tyler has the ability to be a very good scorer with a dangerous outside shot. De Rouen is the better defender of the two, but he shots a miserable 30% on over 100 threes last year - which quickly makes you a net negative offensively. Dustin Hobaugh is another guy that will get minutes, and can hit shots from anywhere on the court. Up front is where there will be more question marks. The anchor will likely be Carson Shanks, who became eligible in the second semester last year, and flashed some skills. He was solid rebounding the ball, and showed some shot blocking chops. They are expecting growth from him. Bryce Cashman got some minutes as a freshman, and had an interesting time. He was 22/36 from the floor (great), but 8/24 from the free throw line (yeesh). In the recruits that they have signed so far, it seems like there was an emphasis on wings, and they got some talented guys. I expect they will sign a JUCO big man or two to provide some depth and talent in the frontcourt, with immediate playing time being a lure for them. After reaching the Big Sky title game two years, they predictably took a step back as guys graduated. However, they have more talent than you might think, and should compete in the middle of the Big Sky next season.

All you people bringing up statistics... A wise man once said “Oh, people can come up with statistics to prove anything. 14% of people know that.”

The NCAA Championship Game Dream Match-Up: BU vs. PC

Before our game on Thursday, I was complaining to my girlfriend about Melrose and Bucci. She thought I was being irrational. 10 minutes into the first period. She turns to me and says, I cannot stand Melrose. I told her to let the hate flow through her... 2 minutes later she started hating on Bucci. -

Business casual for me today Zane is outstanding and UND scores the magic number to advance. I'll go with an old standby 4-2 Sioux! Now... for a bonus: I think Providence takes down Omaha 3-2

Can't be worse that what we put out there last year... can they?

Poison is in the ice. The girl drank it so fast that the ice didn't get a chance to melt. The other one was so slow the poison was able to fully dissolve in the drink

Kings continued their toe stubbing. Dropped one to the Oilers tonight. 2 back of Flames and 3 to the Jets. Simple for the Flames and Jets Thursday: Win and in -

Looks like the Wild took care of business to clinch a playoff spot. Flames tied with Yotes and Kings are down 2-1 to Oilers currently -

Here is how the Wild Miss: Wild lose all 3 (stay at 96) Jets, Flames and Kings all go 2-1 Flames beat Yotes, Kings, but lose to Jets 97 Jets lose to Blues, but beat Avs and Flames 98 Kings beat Oilers, lose to Flames, but beat Sharks 97 That's just one reasonable way it could happen -
I really, really do not like our hockey jerseys. That plain text North Dakota in the middle does nothing for me too. The women's green jersey with the script writing on it on the other hand I like a lot and really wish the men had adopted that instead. I would have been more willing to throw down the money to get a green jersey.

Jets with a critical shutout of the Wild tonight. Moves into 8th spot, leading Calgary by a point. Wild might be in panic mode as Jets are two back. A Jets win against the blues and a wild loss could sent the state of hockry back into crisis mode. -

Duke is on top once again. I cannot be any happier.... until saturday -
1 for a guard just in case something were to happened to one of those 3. Benton is the other guard unless McDermott can play more 2 in case the worst happens. I love our guards for next year. I think those extra practices/scrimmage will be helpful for the young guys.
-
Im in no way saying we shouldn't. A Baker, Crandall, Seales, McDermott, Collins core at positions 1-3 for 3 years would be great. But we need to address issues for next year as well. I think we need to address our issue at power forward and potential at guard as well.
-
The Wheeler kid would be all good and all.... but that helps us in 16-17 say we bring him into the fold, and Hobaugh takes the last scholarship since he is a senior and a walkon. Depending on what happens with De Rouen and Tyler we have 1 or two left. We need to some help at the 4. We may need help at the 2, maybe the 3. We need someone that can come in and help out now.

2015 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament

The nonsense numbers and trends Duke under coach K is 4-4 in national title games (but 0-3 when facing a 1) Duke has won all their national titles under K in towns that end in apolis (Minneapolis in 1992 and 2001, Indinapolis in 1991 and 2010). When two teams are meeting a second time in the season, the trend is that the team who won the first match up typically has won the second time around (Duke beat Wisconsin, in Wisconsin on December 2nd) Bo Ryan is undefeated in national title games, (he won 4 at the d-3 level) If Wisconsin wins tonight, they would have faced the toughest road to the championship a team could face (8 Oregon, 4 UNC, 2 Arizona, 1 Kentucky, 1 Duke) Experience edge goes to Wisconsin, talent favors Duke. Guard play favors Duke Post play favors Wisconsin Key matchup that decides who wins: Dekker vs Winslow My prediction: Wisconsin has all the tool to win this game, but so does Duke. When these two teams met in December, Duke was porous defensively and Wisconsin didn't have a full health team with Dekker still recovering. I think Duke's D and Winslow do just enough to get K his 5th. Duke 74 Wisco 67 MOP: Winslow
