  1. The Georgia State coach, who torn his Achilles celebrating in the conference tournament, fell out of his chair after his son hit a 30 foot shot that ended up being the game winner. His son scored 12 out of the last 13 pts. Wow...
  2. 3 seeds are having problems today ND escaped ISU and Baylor in battles
  3. A return to the NCAA tourney for Kevin Ware, who plays for Georgia State. He was the kid from Louisville that suffered that terrible, terrible leg injury against Duke in the regional finals 2 years ago
  4. Northeastern and UAB are giving the higher seeds fits right now.
  5. I will personally trade some originality if I can get a clean, sharp, awesome logo out of it.
  6. Thoughts on the tourney? Who wins it, final 4 picks, potential Cinderellas?
  7. Loons! cuz the whole process has driven me loonie!
  8. Sano still need some seasoning. Plus he is coming back from injury, but I'd expect a September call up from him. Buxton will be coming through the gate a lot sooner. Both will be in Double A, I don't expect them to be there long. If they didn't get hurt last season and missed most/all of their seasons I'd bet one or both would be coming north this year. Eddie Rosario could win the Center Field job over Hicks, its very telling that he has yet to be sent down and has played well in Spring Training. May and Meyer will start in Triple A, because Millone is going to win the 5th spot in the rotation.
  9. Shanks and Cashman need to develop some consistency both mentally and physically this offseason. They both need to build some strength. Cashman and Shanks need to focus on their post moves, finishing strong, and rebound, rebound, rebound. More for Shanks than Cashman, work on that mid range shot. The development of these two, plus Shields, IMO will the main factor for any real contendership in the Sky. It helps to have the guards, and our guards will be very solid. But the pessimist in me says we will end up with this schedule. Weber x2 EWU x2 Montana x2 Which means seeing Jois, Buening, and Bolumboy twice. I'm not saying they need to be dominating YET.... but they need to be able to handle their own more times than not. They did at times last year, but they need to do it a hell of a lot more next year.
  10. Always felt Hewitt got a raw deal down in GT. Since he left, they struggle for relevance in the ACC, which is a same because a stronger GT, Wake Forest, Clemson teams make the ACC that much more exciting to watch.
  11. The lock: Hooker No discussion here Pretty sure: Seales We need to get him on the floor anyway we can, it helps that he is 6'4, can handle the rock, and can score in multiple ways. If he can go what Huff did his freshman year we have a great secondary piece My guess Hooker Crandall* Seales Shields* Shanks* I could see Tyler starting over Geno I could see Brick starting over Sheilds I could see Cashman starting over Shanks Bench Tyler* Brick* Cashman* Coleman Houbaugh Richman De Rouen Collins (next favorite for redshirt to be pulled) McD (redshirt for sure, 100%) Benton Blake
  12. Um...... I hope for some much better terms than that, because that worked so well for World Peace.
  13. I think the game will be a lot closer than what people are thinking. As for a true prediction.... well ask me again in 6 months. Way too many things can happen between now and September than can impact seasons for both squads in a positive and negative light.
  14. They took 2 out of 3 against them this weekend.
  15. I remember when we played NAU the first time at the Betty he got after us in the student section for some of his actions (I think he kicked an extension cord). He isn't a bad coach but can be a diva coach. Unfortunately, it was overshadowed by them coming back and as Paul Harvey used to say... now you know the rest of the story. I did think NAU had a beef. how that was missed by officials was beyond me. Could have handled it a little bit better than to take it out on the Montana head coach.
  16. I think the committee had some questionable decisions. I agree with getting Georgetown, they have to travel cross country and Eastern has a bus ride. Utah in the 2nd round, unless they get upset up SF Austin. First one to 100 wins.
  17. I think the Flacco comparison is about right key word in that statement is POTENTIAL. If he has another big year and a great pro day/combine... why can't he be a 1st round QB?
  18. Wonder how much higher they would have gotten if they had found a way to beat Washington and SMU, and turn a loss or two in conference into a win.
