From what I hear the Coaching staff is not too upset with Feeney being gone. Another interesting thing. I was talking with a former UND QB about this time last year about how deep our QB room was. I was talking to him about how Tommy had another year of eligibility, Feeney looking good and the good things being said about Jerry. He told me to not forget about Romfo. I thought he was crazy as I thought he was about 4th on the depth chart when I comes to starting a game. It tells me that Simon didn't come out on nowhere to become the starter.

They will not have a choice if no one else bids. But ultimately the goal is to have #1 seeds host. Goal would be to have a #1 seed from out east come to REA where UND is and UND win the regional. #1 seeds should host

First of all a converted Cattle barn is not going to happen. Secondly there are 4 regional's so a 1 in 4 chance to get sent to a crappy place. And Finally they will be playing in the same place as 3 other teams so no advantage or disadvantage. #1 Seeds will never host as long as Fargo/Scheels is an option. Something you need to make short term sacrifices for long term fixes.

Perfect. Nothing will change if the NCAA can put it in Fargo and sell out a 5K arena. If UND is serious about wanted to have #1 seeds host they need to stop bailing the NCAA out by hosting in Fargo.

Kind of makes my point. The NCAA will NEVER choose the REA if Fargo is an option. Only Bid the REA every year. Besides the Fact if I'm the GF Chamber I'd be a little pissed that we are bidding to host in Fargo.

Why does UND keep bailing out the NCAA by submitting to host in Fargo? Submit bids to host at the REA and nowhere else. I don't think many teams are submitting bids so either they accept the REA, host in Empty arenas or they will need to start having #1 Seeds host. UND call their bluff.

My problem with the Whole situation and it still bothers me is who we lost them to. Both were lateral moves to other FCS teams. On top of that we lost the first OC we hired to another FCS team. Embarrassing for the program.

My expectations have not changed at all. Based on prior years performance I expect them to be 6-1 at home, maybe even 7-0. What is yet to be determined is have they learned to win on the road. It starts this week. A win in Fargo and the expectations will increase. A blow out loss and its the same old same old. If they lose, but are competitive than good things can still be in front of them. A loss in Fargo would probably mean needed to run the table to have a special season.

A question we will never know the answer to but, if Jerry would have played the 2nd half of the Montana game would be have won? I was hoping they would switch QBs a half time, but they didn't and UND won. I keep thinking back to Tom Millers article before the starting QB was selected and he said Romfo and Trey had 40% chance to win the staring QB spot and Jerry was at 20%. If Tom sees it and he has watch a lot more practice than any of us, maybe Jerry is not ready yet. If Trey would have stuck around maybe he would have gotten a chance. Another thing we will never know.

This is a great addition to our community. Sounds like the HS State Softball tournament will be hosted there next spring. It won't hardly cost the State anything as the Albrecht's wanted to make sure this would benefit both the university and the youth. I was told what the state had to pay NDSU in 2023 to host the State Tournament at their facility. It was ridiculous and should never be hosted there again.

Offense and defense did wonderful job of feeding off each other. Love how after we scored the defense forced a 3 and out and after the forced 3 and out the offense held onto the ball and kept the MT offense rusty on the sideline. It was a thing of beauty. Best offense is a strong defense and best defense is a sting offense.

If Jerry and Trey could run as well as Romfo, the coaches would have had designated plays for them last year.

Romfo seems to buy time with his legs until Bo was able to get open and find him for the 1st down a few times. I question whether Jerry would be able to do that. Romfo was also able to scramble for some nice runs. I like that we played an FBS team right before Montana. Everything should slow down for Romfo vs Montana. Hoping to see him run the offense much better in front of a friendly crowd the next 4 week and go to Fargo feeling much more comfortable running the offence.

With a TD or FG you need the defense to make a stop or 2

I'm not sure how you figured he was lying. All he said was he enjoyed working with Fruechte and learned a lot. That can still be true. He is just looking for somewhere else where he will get a chance to play.

That right. Still point is sooner both leagues get to an even amount of teams the better.

TBH is it best for both conferences for St Thomas to join the NCHC next year. With Augustina joining the CCHA and Arizona st joining the NCHC in 2025-26 it leaves both conferences with an odd number. Get St Thomas into the NCHC and both conferences should be happy. I see it more as letting St Thomas out of their last year as it is mutually beneficial

So 1 more road series and 1 more home series. Doesn't sound like a big deal.

I just don't think UST is going to be the great. Stepping into a premium conference while trying to build a program is going to be very tough. Besides Alumni i don't think you are going to get much support from the community. It is a U of M market and they will be little brother to them. They will be the new Miami and will not add anything when it comes to SOS. Also too many teams into conference. Hate the unbalanced schedule. After adding ASU it forced them to add a 10th team. Doubt UST would be in if not for ASU being added. I have always liked the 6 team conference, thought 8 was too many. Now 10 is way too many.

There was no Western Michigan or St Cloud originally.
