Wait... You mean to tell me that season tickets for UND football are $75?!!!! So if 4000 people who would never be able to show up at the Alerus paid $25 for season tickets to non-existent end zone seats, that would satisfy this ridiculous rule?

Or how about 4000 standing room tickets at the Alerus for $3 (1/3 price would be $1) each for the balconies, end zones and other miscellaneous areas? disclaimer - I live in Arizona and have never been to the Alerus so have no personal concept of what I am suggesting.

Don't know if SiouxVolley's scenario will actually happen (even though the pieces seem to be falling into place) but it is sure entertaining to watch the Bison trolls panic as the story unfolds.

Would really like to see what Walthall would do at UND and the Big Sky, but it might be tough to drop Jones this year. Walthall will more than likely be gone from MSUM no later then next year, but more likely this spring.

Since New Mexico State is still WAC and Idaho was, would the Big Sky use the WAC as leverage in creating an FBS division? Or has the WAC lost its FBS designation since it imploded?

Is the ratio of players leaving the team any different than the ratio of the general student population who leave college for whatever their personal reasons may be? My guess, and it's only a guess is that the retention of players for 4 or 5 years is much better than the dropout rate of the average student. Courses can be difficult and college is not for everyone.

really dislike the implication in the title of this thread that these players are going to a rival team, rather than leaving college altogether, as in the above situation.

Smallest stadiums in the Big 12 are 50,000+. If they built it, would enough people come?

Seriously, what's wrong with staying FCS? It is D-I in every sport. Unless the P5 break off, FCS is probably the only D-I sport NDSU will win a national title in. Besides hockey, FCS is UND's only other national championship possibility, as well. Basketball and volleyball titles were sacrificed to move up. Baseball, softball, soccer, etc were not even possibilities in D-II. Unless Sioux Volley is right about at least part of the Big Sky moving together, both UND and NDSU will be best served to remain FCS under the current system.
