You show up to socialize and watch football game. If the football game is not fun, you leave. Can't really fault someone for leaving a game that isn't any good.... particularly when your team is the one getting blown out.
I don't recall including hypotheticals or subjective guesses or deflecting.
Gave a guy some grief for beating NDSU 20+ years ago...and following up by getting bent over by the same team a short time later. He blamed officiating. #Facts.
Gave you guys a little grief about getting stomped by USD by 38. #Fact
My fav team won yesterday in a rivalry game against their little brother. #Fact
I don't really cheer for NDSU. I go for the tailgating and leave when others are going inside.
The only thing UND owns right now is a 38 point loss to USD. Judging by how they pay the football coach, they'd have trouble owning a garden...much less a farm.
Also lol @ anyone blaming officials for a 30+ point loss.
how about the playoff game vs the bison that year? Were ya unprepared for that one too?
There is a big difference between losing on a last second field goal and losing by 40 lol.
You didn't "lose" to usd. That's forgivable. Any given Saturday and all that....UND was down by 31 at halftime.
When someone shows me a team with a better resume than them that year, I'll listen.
You aren't leaving a 12-0 P5 team out of the national championship game unless you end up with 3 of them(see Auburn).
Alabama and Notre Dame....were not good football teams upon the arrival of those two. As bad of shape as UND, no. But they didn't merely crack the top 24 teams within a few years...they reached(or nearly reached) the pinnacle of collegiate football.
Nick Saban. Urban Meyer. Brian Kelly. These guys all had their teams in title games within 3 years of getting their current jobs. Granted, 3 football schools.
