You are almost certainly wrong. You are going to tell me that a redshirt freshman is an upgrade on this guy? No. Just really not likely. Stick ended up being a very good quarterback. A super senior vs. a young guy at this level generally makes a huge difference. NDSU will definitely not be this good next year, this team ended up being dirty good. They might just end up being regular good by NDSU standards.

As long as a school is willing to dedicate/fundraise an adequate amount to be respectable, I don't have a problem with them moving up. If Augie is going to be a consistently terrible team that plays in a bad facility and not contribute to the league, that is one thing....and in that case, I want them to be in D2. But if they are going to be a par school in the region, good for them.

Define logic in this case? SDSU has regularly given NDSU all they want and then some. JMU was able to beat NDSU in the dome, and then basically stalemated them in the championship. I believe part of the complaints are that fans would like to see new teams come to Fargo. If JMU didn't crap the bed, this would be three straight seasons they play NDSU. SDSU has gotten stuck going to Fargo a bunch of times. I don't think it's unreasonable to be disappointed after looking at the bracket and seeing some likely rematches. Particularly when SDSU has been one of the few teams that has been able to go into the Fargodome and keep their poop together.

Lou Holtz won 1 conference title in like 10 years at Arkansas and Minnesota...turns out the dude rocked....he made these teams relevant.

Should probably be noted that in his years as a coach, he's never lead a blue blood program....just sayin. He's either been dealing with UND/UM/UW/Denver in front of him or UND/Denver. Blaming a dude for not having any conference titles in a period of time seems like blaming Lou Holtz for winning a grand title of one(tied) conference title between 11 years at Arkansas and Minnesota, honestly it makes a person look stupid.

Grand Forks is such an odd place. Really like it up there, but man, weird. I was working up in GF after I graduated and when the Hornbacher's opened, the ladies at work were asking me about it. I told them that's where I shopped in college and I thought it was great but the Hugo's was closer to where I lived in GF so I was going to stick with them. Fast forward a week and these women were complaining about how uppity Hornbacher's was relative to Hugos, kinda a Walmart vs. Target type thing. Not surprised it didn't stick in GF. Y'all love your hometown brands up there, not necessarily a bad thing. Just unique.

First Community isn't going to take over Grand Forks or anything but it's no secret credit unions are lit.
