Should probably be noted that in his years as a coach, he's never lead a blue blood program....just sayin. He's either been dealing with UND/UM/UW/Denver in front of him or UND/Denver. Blaming a dude for not having any conference titles in a period of time seems like blaming Lou Holtz for winning a grand title of one(tied) conference title between 11 years at Arkansas and Minnesota, honestly it makes a person look stupid.

I prefer watching you guys lose is the Frozen Four...not being a soft team who can't make the damn tourney.

Grand Forks is such an odd place. Really like it up there, but man, weird. I was working up in GF after I graduated and when the Hornbacher's opened, the ladies at work were asking me about it. I told them that's where I shopped in college and I thought it was great but the Hugo's was closer to where I lived in GF so I was going to stick with them. Fast forward a week and these women were complaining about how uppity Hornbacher's was relative to Hugos, kinda a Walmart vs. Target type thing. Not surprised it didn't stick in GF. Y'all love your hometown brands up there, not necessarily a bad thing. Just unique.

First Community isn't going to take over Grand Forks or anything but it's no secret credit unions are lit.

Season tickets vs. Playoff games are not really correlated.

Hated being in the WDA. Those trips to Belcourt and Williston were genuinely miserable.

Notre Dame might go...but what is in it for them? They get 5 ACC games annually, Stanford, USC, Navy. 8 annual games there. Plus another marquee matchup against a big name (currently have Michigan, UGA, TAMU, Alabama, Ohio State, Wisconsin) lined up. This year appears to prove an elite season by them gets them into the CFP so...why give that up? They've turned down the B1G multiple times in the past. I'd expect ND to end up full-time ACC before going B1G. And if ND goes ACC, I can't imagine North Carolina or Virginia leaving.

Nick Saban loses coordinators all the time. Brian Kelly loses coordinators all the time. They go to G5 schools sometimes. Nothing wrong with a dude wanting to shoot his shot as a head coach.

If you make the playoffs, there is plenty of opportunities to win those games. You'd like to be in a position where a loss to UND doesn't cause teams to tumble.

If the list of teams is a whopping one team in the last decade, it doesn't really matter. It should be a fairly common(annual) occurrence.

Brian Kelly has been a boss everywhere he has been, and had recently been successful at Notre Dame. Can Bubba say the same?

I think it's a couple weeks before the playoffs, not sure exactly when it is.

I'd guess NDSU gets a new stadium at some point before UND. FargoDome isis filled up consistently, etc. UND gets 60-80% capacity for a big home game. In a really nice venue, no less. I doubt either one gets a new stadium anytime soon. I'm 26 and would put money down that neither of these events happen before I'm 50. Once you move indoors, it's tough to go back outside, and there isn't the ticket demand at either school require a sizable increase.

The only year I was in Grand Forks during the current rendition of the Ralph was the natty season, I saw Wiscosin, Colorado College, and Huntsville there. The latter two the building probably had at least a couple thousand empty seats. Wisconsin...can't say, don't remember much from that night other than UND won. Can't imagine it's easy to fill up a building that size every night. No judgement from me.
