Sun Belt/MAC do not have any super small schools. Louisiana-Monroe(SunBelt) has 8,500. Miami(MAC) has about 19,000.

I'm fairly confident every school generally believes they are underfunded. Not an SU or U exclusive "problem."

I'd be shocked to see anyone who actually believes... legitimately... that Northern runs rings around USD. Thats akin to NDSU/UND folks saying Mary or Minot are doing the same to NDSU/UND. Clearly joking, or delusional.

A lot depends how badly the B1G wants to be great. I don't know anything about hockey and this year could very well be an outlier. Just seems like the B1G is rarely bad at anything. Big time schools who have egos. You put them in a conference together and it's easy to see how they might pick things up a notch. Orrrr..... they can wallow in mediocrity most of the time haha I'm sure most of you would prefer that.

I think they'd have still left. ND has a long history or at least a lot of familiarity with the B1G teams, particularly UM and MSU. Easier to sell hockey tickets in South Bend when you can market Michigan coming to town rather than Nebraska-Omaha. Whether it's right or wrong, that's another matter I am not sure of.
