I have been told that a few of them look at the sites, from a former player. I also know this is fact because a couple of years back one of them called me on my analysis of on one of the goaltenders.

All the more reason for us to go after him then. I would like to see UND get a big goaltender like Elliot from Wisconsin. UND hasn't had a goalie over 6 feet in a long time. Would also be nice to see him in the mix in case Jordy did go to the pros.

That is why I think UND can get the fourth spot. Denver has some good players but they are not that good. I think UND can get the 4th spot based on the strenght of their schedule in the second half of the season, I believe UND is a better team than UMD or DU. Now if we can get the Sioux to win at home though and like I said earlier their schedule isn't against the top teams in the league MSU-M (not good this year at all) SCSU (they have a good goalie that is all) UMD (I don't believe they are a better team than UND and they have lost 10 straight to UND) and we all know the quality of MTU (they down right suck) I think UND has to go 6-2 in those games... In my opinion that is all you have to do to get fourth place. Games at C.C., Denver and Minnesota, split those on the road. I think UND can get motivated and sweep denver in their barn. Their luck against UND is running out in my opinion. We are also going to have the Punkovich thing looming over the team. I just wounder how they guys (Lee, Chourney Oshie) on the WJC got along with that A$$ hole during the tourney.

You know I just don't like the match up the USA and the Czechs. Not a good match up last season and I am woundering how many of their guys are back from last season.

In checking the scores from this weekend. Denver loses two games to weak teams. Denver loses to Princeton on Friday night 4-1 and Ferris State 3-2. I wounder if the wheels are coming off in Denver. Nonconference games are a must this time of year.

Speaking of goalies, I can't believe that Schneider is the best the American have in all of USA hockey.

I defense of Jack Johnson, the Canadian player he hit with an elbow layed a pretty good slash on him just before he planted him in the ice. Of course the announcers fom TSN missed that. That being said pretty gutless act.

I think the boys just need to play and stop reading their press clippings. The opposing teams are not going to be impressed with all of their accomplishments.

I like that line of thinking, Travis is only going to be a JR next season he isn't all that old, so I am not so sure that NJ is going to be in a hurry to get him turn pro. NJ is a young team that already has a hugh stable full of young players that are not really setting the league on fire. In compairing Parise and Zajac I think Parise is more dynamic player and isn't lighting up the NHL either right now. In the past NJ has been a team that let players stay in college a little longer and develop as players instead of moving up to the IHL/NHL. I just hope that translate to UND keeping Travis one more year. Also, I just don't see Stafford in a Buffalo Uniform next season.

I think as Sioux fans we can just take it was a split with a half way decent team, Harvard is nothing special and their trap style with catch up with them when the playoffs come around. You have to be offensive in my opinion to win in the NCAA tourney. UND had them on the ropes in the second period and let them off.

What is the word on Trupp, what kind of a player is he? Only a couple I would label as smurfs the rest are pretty good size.

I would rather our school not play any college hockey games during the WJC so we don't have to go through this every year.

I think last night was a big game and the boys failed to show up for. UND needs wins against teams in the TUC, I would imagine that Harvard is a team in the mix right now. If Hak can get the team to play better in the second half sure they will be in the mix for the final 16. However, they don't have any room for error anymore, every game is a must win. There is only like 17 games left in the season. I am not so sure how many they can let slip away in the second half of the season if they want to play in March and April, its not a big number though. Next weekend they travel to UAA and they must not lay an egg. UAA is less talented than the team they are playing tonight. Its not like the NHL were you play 82 games and can let a few slip away.

That is pretty much the truth. Maybe they need to have a speech from Reg Morelli or Jason Blake. They need maybe a speech on what it means to wear the green and white and what it takes to be a winner. If I had been a player yesterday I couldn't have slept last night knowing what just happened on the ice. The Sioux need to exercise the demons and start winning, they are making it too hard, stop analyzing the opposing team doesn't care that your a first round draft pick, stop over passing the puck and just play hockey. They seem to be looking for the perfect pass, the perfect shot. Stop thinking and play for chirst sakes. Would someone please check someone, would someone please step up and play with some passion. In my opinion player that has stood out although he doesn't get a lot of playing time is Brad Miller, its eveident that this kid has really worked hard. Also, last night I thought that Alexander look pretty decent on the ice and had good hockey skills. Maybe we will see more of him in the second half of the season.

In case any of the players are reading. Take this: message to the Sioux hockey team lets stop screwing around and play like you deserve to wear the UND uniform, its painful watching your lack luster play on the ice and it sucks watching us get beat by rivals as you play with little or any heart. Some of the leaders on the team need to step up and tell these underachieving teammates about Sioux Pride and what it is like to play with heart. Someone needs to tell they guys that playing with pride requires effort and dedication, every time you step on the ice play like its your last game. I bet it burns Cary Eades gut to watch the guys play like that. You guys suck. Where the heck do they get all of these pre-Madonna's with no heart and drive. Your not even worth playing the money for admission nor the gas to drive across town to watch play. I hate Mediocre hockey teams.

Saying we didn't have our four best players is not expectable; I am sick and tired of watching UND losing at home and the media and others making excuses for them. Heck by even putting that stupid excuse out about how UND's top four are gone to the WJC, gives them an out, it gave the players an excuse to use if they didn't win. Ding, ding, ding. They didn't win. I guarantee that Harvard doesn't have a line as talented line as Stafford, Spirko, Zajac. Nor one as talented as Duncan, Porter, Kozec. I think that Watkins and Kozek are going to have big games this weekend. #10 really looked good against BSU last weekend. I say Phil and Jordan are both solid and I think the Big line is going to feast on the Crimson this weekend.
