One other note to consider is that I was trying to get a person I know who happens to be a Gopher fan and apparently he wants nothing to do with coming up for the regional. Seems that some of the Gopher fans from MPLS that he knows have had some bad experiences in the the REA. Seems some of our fans have been in their face the whole game, had stuff thrown at them, someone challenged them to a fight, that seems kind of childish, nothing at a hockey game is worth fighting over. Now I haven't seen this stuff happen personally but maybe it is. And challenging a nother to a fight isn't really appropriate. That being said I have seen Gopher fans acting like moron during the Final Five. Also, last season the dillweed Badger fans sitting behind us were throwing stuff at us because we were celebrating the Sioux win.

Its like walking across a cross walk there is a element of risk that you might get hurt, just like when you are sitting in the crowd turn off your cell phone and watch the game or get tickets in the upper bowl. All game long you have people shooting pucks out of the rink to relieve pressure, sometimes the puck gets shot out of the rink, unless you have the abiltiy to look inside people minds and see what he was thinking none of us will ever get to know the real reason short of asking him point blank. It is also a lot different action than feeding pucks over the glass at fans. If Briggs would have done I wouldn't have thought about it for a second. I don't think most of us would have overembelished like Frank and Doug did.

That is what I thought too, I doubt that it would be malicious. The problem I find with Frank he needs to tone it down a bit. Frank is so much a homer he can't even be objective nor even handed. It become more apparent when the Goofers are winning a game last night he was so giddy and if he wants to be a fan go buy a ticket and maybe Minnesota can find someone better to do the games. I am not sure who is worse Sweeny nor Frank. One has too much enthusiasum and the other is like paint drying.

Madano or Lawton might be a stretch. But I remember when Brain Lawton came into the league there was a lot of pressure on him. The stars game him #98, not a good thing, his NHL career was ok but nothing special. Its tough when your annointed as the next great hockey players. I am sure Toews feels it a bit too.

I think from watching a lot of NHL hockey this season and Ovechkin and Crosby are game breakers and difference makers, Kessle and Toews aren't ready for the AHL let alone the NHL. Ovechkin and Crosby effect the outcome of the games Kessel and Towes in my opinion aren't at the level yet and may never be of those two hockey players. From what I have seen so far. I would also put Malkin in the same boat as Ovechkin and Crosby. Does that mean our two young players good nope, but I didn't even notice Toews in last nights game, he was a non factor just like the rest of his team mates.

Exactly the administration has been bringing up the same tired old argument each and every year since the new ralph has been open and we are still sitting at the same point in the argument we were 4 years ago. We have solved nothing.

Well that might make someone unhappy if you tell them to go F*** themselves if they asked you nice to sit down which isn't a outlandish request. That is unexceptable. I do like the fact that the Band is in the lower bowl this year and maybe the REA and Administratio could come up with something to get everyone more envolved in a respectful manner. I would like to see more of the signs and having the band rev up the fans like they do in Mad-town. At first when I heard that question I thought oh my God Jeff is really setting Hak up for some bulletin board material that the Goofer coaches can use for this weekend, then I realized that Dubers was actually serious. Hak had a good point basically said that his team is in a learning process as opposed to last years team being a veteran laden team. I would have to agree, who the heck knows.

So now there is going to be a lecture on appropriate behavior at sporting events. Anyway us other older vulgar people can go to this and find out if we aren't violating public decency laws? I am pretty sure that some of us might be in trouble too. John McEnroe basically broke a lot of the same rules of decency when he played tennis so that might throw that argument out too.

Here is what I read into, some of the facualty have tried to ram this down the throat of the students and basically its not going to fly and basically it was a waste of time and energy. This will not stand and the majority of the students like the name and the alumni like the name and if these facualty members don't like the name move on and get a job at another campus.
