I would rather our school not play any college hockey games during the WJC so we don't have to go through this every year.

I think last night was a big game and the boys failed to show up for. UND needs wins against teams in the TUC, I would imagine that Harvard is a team in the mix right now. If Hak can get the team to play better in the second half sure they will be in the mix for the final 16. However, they don't have any room for error anymore, every game is a must win. There is only like 17 games left in the season. I am not so sure how many they can let slip away in the second half of the season if they want to play in March and April, its not a big number though. Next weekend they travel to UAA and they must not lay an egg. UAA is less talented than the team they are playing tonight. Its not like the NHL were you play 82 games and can let a few slip away.

That is pretty much the truth. Maybe they need to have a speech from Reg Morelli or Jason Blake. They need maybe a speech on what it means to wear the green and white and what it takes to be a winner. If I had been a player yesterday I couldn't have slept last night knowing what just happened on the ice. The Sioux need to exercise the demons and start winning, they are making it too hard, stop analyzing the opposing team doesn't care that your a first round draft pick, stop over passing the puck and just play hockey. They seem to be looking for the perfect pass, the perfect shot. Stop thinking and play for chirst sakes. Would someone please check someone, would someone please step up and play with some passion. In my opinion player that has stood out although he doesn't get a lot of playing time is Brad Miller, its eveident that this kid has really worked hard. Also, last night I thought that Alexander look pretty decent on the ice and had good hockey skills. Maybe we will see more of him in the second half of the season.

In case any of the players are reading. Take this: message to the Sioux hockey team lets stop screwing around and play like you deserve to wear the UND uniform, its painful watching your lack luster play on the ice and it sucks watching us get beat by rivals as you play with little or any heart. Some of the leaders on the team need to step up and tell these underachieving teammates about Sioux Pride and what it is like to play with heart. Someone needs to tell they guys that playing with pride requires effort and dedication, every time you step on the ice play like its your last game. I bet it burns Cary Eades gut to watch the guys play like that. You guys suck. Where the heck do they get all of these pre-Madonna's with no heart and drive. Your not even worth playing the money for admission nor the gas to drive across town to watch play. I hate Mediocre hockey teams.

Saying we didn't have our four best players is not expectable; I am sick and tired of watching UND losing at home and the media and others making excuses for them. Heck by even putting that stupid excuse out about how UND's top four are gone to the WJC, gives them an out, it gave the players an excuse to use if they didn't win. Ding, ding, ding. They didn't win. I guarantee that Harvard doesn't have a line as talented line as Stafford, Spirko, Zajac. Nor one as talented as Duncan, Porter, Kozec. I think UND has a good opportunity to keep him here for a few years based on his age.

I think that Watkins and Kozek are going to have big games this weekend. #10 really looked good against BSU last weekend. I say Phil and Jordan are both solid and I think the Big line is going to feast on the Crimson this weekend.

First off that is pretty much how I feel about Kessel, egotistical for a high school hockey player to announce where he is going to play college hockey. You can't get more cocky than that. I don't remember Oshie doing the same thing, and before we start flaming about how much better Kessel is than Oshie, TJ was picked pretty high in the draft and is only sitting one point behind him in points. ALSO, what cause are we furthering, I thi is a college hockey message board. I could care less if someone likes my opinion of Kessel. Fan=fanatic.

I don't think this is necessary. I mean look at our rosters, are you saying Harvard has a Stafford, Spirko, Zajac then add Duncan, Watkins Kozek. Actually I would bet their goaltending isn't as good as ours. Don't give the boys an out to lose this weekend. This is a crucial series and nothing less than three points is exceptable. We can not lose to Harvard or an EZAC team, that really would hurt us in the final selection for the NCAA's seriously.

No, I have to disagree, I mean what does Kessel expect? Does he expect the media to treat him with kids gloves? High profile players have stories written about them all of the time. Why should it be different for golden boy Kessel. Honestly, If Kessel is a spoiled brat than there is probably something to the story, I don't doubt TSN because they are a Canadian channel. TSN is second to none in hockey coverage, it makes ESPN look like a college news/sports production. I get to see some of their work as a result of having NHL Center Ice and if there is a story there TSN will find it. TSN plays no favorites or treats none the players with kids gloves. Some need to get a grip. One thing I think was over the top for Kessel was the press conference to announce that he was going to Minnesota. To me that kind of sets a precedence of being a pre-madonna. Thats my HMO. Honestly I am sick of hearing about Kessel all the time 24/7. I think Oshie has done just as much as Kessel has this year.

That is a touching article. I know Karl lives in Grand Forks, ND during the off season because I see him and his wife and kid walking down the street every once in a while. Speaking of goalies Eddie Belfour was honored before the Leafs and Bruins game at center ice for breaking Terry Sawchucks record of wins. His dog even made it to center ice.

Wow, what a cool article. I hope we can keep this kid around for a few years.

Blake had a goal and an assist to end the game. Jason assisted on the islanders last goal and it was an amazing pass.

I suppose one could say that this isn't the year to lose that long streak. I think UND can keep it going if they play like a team and focus on getting the puck out the defensive zone and keep the puck in the Crimson zone most of the game. I would bet money that they don't have a line like Stafford, Zajac and Spirko.

That is a good example of the childish behavior GK has displayed. If you don't agree with people's point of view and perspective you just villifiy them and call them racist and say they are a bunch of classless rubes. GK probably learned that tactic from his white college professors in the arts and sciences department. I notice they have been writing the op ed department of the Grand Forks Herald a lot lately.

Honestly I think that with the schedule that UND has the Sioux could finish 3rd or 4th in the league. There are 18 games left and we only play C.C. twice, UMN two more times and Denver twice. The rest of the teams we play are bottoms feeders in the league.
