But he is one of them dirty thuggish type players, kind a smaller version of Jeff Punkovich. Dirty won't fight much and turtles all of the time.

Its the Canadians thing, its a stupid thing they did all of last season, who cares, thats why the USA is a super power and Canada is a also ran. Its like get over the Iraq war. Canada is full of Liberal socialist that wish the USA was more humble and less cocky in their opinion. They kind of remind me of some of our Washington politicians. Hum almost Kennedy or Kerry like. USA is the big bad bullies that everyone comes to when they are in trouble, notice they don't come to the Canadians or the French? Sure Canada have some of the best hockey players in the world, nobody doubts that but the USA has cut the gap in half. I guess they are starting to feel threatened.

The game will be on tonight at 1000 on TSN on the hockey package, it was recently added this afternoon. So if you have NHL center ice your in business.

Its a dicey play, I didn't like either player swinging their sticks on the way down the ice. I mean we just lost do we need to give the Canadians any more inspiration if we do in fact get to play them again. I am not convinced we will make it that far, because I was not impressed with their play against the Canadians.

I was thinking about going there but, I didn't want to give happy something to chime in about.

I was checking out GAA in the BCHL and was wondering why no one had a gaa above 93%, can someone tell me if the BCHL is considered a scoring league?

TSN is carrying it but, its not listed on the hockey package. My bet is not. I thought FSN was going to carry these games?

Maybe the refs knew this based on his reputation, I also thought the Canadian player embelished quite a bit too.

I don't think that is an option, UND needs points and doesn't want to be sitting in 6th place because some kid was tired from playing in a tourney they didn't need to play in. Personally I wish we didn't have to be put out by the WJC but thats the breaks for recruiting the younger stars as opposed to some 21 year old canadian. But seriously being tired is self inflicted, so I don't feel bad for them and they are kids, that are in great shape. The NHL plays two games in a row. Its a character builder. Because of lack luster play by UND, The Sioux can't afford to not play players or let players have time off just because they are tired. They are young men and UND needs to have the best line up possible to beat UAA, with the luck we have had with UAA the past few years I see no alternaive but for the best players to play. Losing one point to UAA in my opinion is unexceptable if they want to finish in the top four in the WCHA. IMHO I think Miller should play over Kaip anyways, but I am not the coach. Besides I would rather had a tired Oshie in the line up than a rested Kaip or Foyt. Last season Coach let some of the players take time off during the week.

I have been told that a few of them look at the sites, from a former player. I also know this is fact because a couple of years back one of them called me on my analysis of on one of the goaltenders.

All the more reason for us to go after him then. I would like to see UND get a big goaltender like Elliot from Wisconsin. UND hasn't had a goalie over 6 feet in a long time. Would also be nice to see him in the mix in case Jordy did go to the pros.

That is why I think UND can get the fourth spot. Denver has some good players but they are not that good. I think UND can get the 4th spot based on the strenght of their schedule in the second half of the season, I believe UND is a better team than UMD or DU. Now if we can get the Sioux to win at home though and like I said earlier their schedule isn't against the top teams in the league MSU-M (not good this year at all) SCSU (they have a good goalie that is all) UMD (I don't believe they are a better team than UND and they have lost 10 straight to UND) and we all know the quality of MTU (they down right suck) I think UND has to go 6-2 in those games... In my opinion that is all you have to do to get fourth place. Games at C.C., Denver and Minnesota, split those on the road. I think UND can get motivated and sweep denver in their barn. Their luck against UND is running out in my opinion. We are also going to have the Punkovich thing looming over the team. I just wounder how they guys (Lee, Chourney Oshie) on the WJC got along with that A$$ hole during the tourney.

You know I just don't like the match up the USA and the Czechs. Not a good match up last season and I am woundering how many of their guys are back from last season.

In checking the scores from this weekend. Denver loses two games to weak teams. Denver loses to Princeton on Friday night 4-1 and Ferris State 3-2. I wounder if the wheels are coming off in Denver. Nonconference games are a must this time of year.

Speaking of goalies, I can't believe that Schneider is the best the American have in all of USA hockey.

I defense of Jack Johnson, the Canadian player he hit with an elbow layed a pretty good slash on him just before he planted him in the ice. Of course the announcers fom TSN missed that. That being said pretty gutless act.

I think the boys just need to play and stop reading their press clippings. The opposing teams are not going to be impressed with all of their accomplishments.

I like that line of thinking, Travis is only going to be a JR next season he isn't all that old, so I am not so sure that NJ is going to be in a hurry to get him turn pro. NJ is a young team that already has a hugh stable full of young players that are not really setting the league on fire. In compairing Parise and Zajac I think Parise is more dynamic player and isn't lighting up the NHL either right now. In the past NJ has been a team that let players stay in college a little longer and develop as players instead of moving up to the IHL/NHL. I just hope that translate to UND keeping Travis one more year. Also, I just don't see Stafford in a Buffalo Uniform next season.

I think as Sioux fans we can just take it was a split with a half way decent team, Harvard is nothing special and their trap style with catch up with them when the playoffs come around. You have to be offensive in my opinion to win in the NCAA tourney. UND had them on the ropes in the second period and let them off.

What is the word on Trupp, what kind of a player is he? Only a couple I would label as smurfs the rest are pretty good size.
