I assume this mean that Bina has been give full clearance to play in contact sports again? The kid has guts if he decided to play hockey again. I guess I definately admire his determination and grit.

Derian Hatcher looked slow on his feet and was constantly beat, from watching Boston a lot this season on NHL center ice I thought Leetch has played well enough to make the USA team, but what do I know I am just a fan, I do think he has been a good player for USA hockey, he is long in the teeth though and maybe the olympic selection team say things the common fan didn't see, I suppose Brian being injured a good part of the season didn't help either. I am also uninspired by team USA effort during the olympics. I guess we will see a new olypic team in 2010. I hope they play with more inspiration than they did this year.

I think that Gionta and Leo played really well in the olympics, I was thinking how good they played but the rest of teams effort wasn't there. I think that USA needs to get some core guys together like the four mentioned above and have them play together in a World Championship a few times and dump some of the old weight. However, I do also fell that Chelios played pretty good during the olympics, what miffs me is why wasn't Brian Leach in the Olympic Games this year.

I think that is possible. I can think of a couple of possibilities.

I posted a article on Punkovich on my blog. http://ndgoon.blogspot.com/ As you know I hold this clown with the highest regard, I would probably compare him to a piece of excrement. I hope some day Punkovich has to pay for his crime against Robbie I really do. But I don't want to see a top player suspended or hurt because Denver when head hunting after we righted a wrong. Ala Bertuzzi. Denver in my opinion is a pretty dirty team and UND will have to keep their heads up anyways as the Gophers found out last weekend. That being said I don't think UND will be intimidated by the Pios. At last, I don't care if Pioneer fans think we are wrong to some how fault Punkovich, or still hold a grudge against him. I guaraentee that if we had done the same ot one of their players they would be spouting off the same stuff. They need to realize it was a dirty cheap act.

The games will be on Fox College Sports. Its like 316 or 317 on the extended digital package on Midco net. The second game is on at 2100 hours and is about one hour late due to Basket ball of all things. Both games of the MSU-M and Denver series were on this channel too.

The Punkovich hit on Bina last season was one of the cheapest, dirtiest hits I have ever seen period, I was right across from it and it was bad. I am not sure to this day how he only got a two minute penatly. I saw the Atherton check and it wasn't any where as bad as the Punkovich hit.

In my Humble opinion I think that both the CCHA and the EZAC are so over rated. The team I think is the most over rated is Cornell. I can't wait till their goalie has to wear the smaller equipment next season he is screwed. I also say anytime Cornell wants to come into the Ralph and play UND I say bring it on.

If that happens I hope our skilled players aren't on the ice getting run at the end of the game. I'd rather have big Mike out there in stead of Oshie and Toews getting run. I would actually bet that nothing happens this weekend, unless the play gets really chippy and the players start yapping at each other. UND can't really afford to have a bunch of guys sitting out games with suspensions.

The reason I posted this article is that it was such a heated thing its worthy of another topic head line. I will be posting something on it later in the week to on my blog. Actually I like many other hold Punkovich in the lowest regards I wouldn't have even cheered for him had he scored a goal during the WJC.

I was wondering what everyone thought about this weekend's games, I wonder with so much on the line if they will get out of hand and someone will finally challenge Mr. Punkovich? It could get interesting if either game gets one side in either direction. I just hope if they are going to do it the Fighting Sioux players use their head and don't end up being the one that ends up getting suspended for two games ala, Finely and Radke.

On Mico net if you get the extended sports package you will probably see one or both College hockey games from Denver. I heard the second on was tape delayed. But I watched Denver both games the weekend before against MSU-M.

Also, I don't know if anyone notices the D-men were trying to get some shots on net. None of course went in but they were trying.

I don't agree the games with Minnesota and UND were close with the edge going to Minnesota, however, don't forget we lost a couple of games on questionable goals so like someone said earlier they could have went either way. I am not scared of the fact that UND could face the Gophers again in the NCAA playoffs. All I keep thinking about is that defense and Briggs in net and anything is possible.

If UND is a fourth seed it won't happen. I can see UND getting in on a 4th seed.

I think Lee looked shaky all weekend. I noticed this on Friday as well, just not with it, not making the right pass at the right time. I think its because he is still young and barely out of High School. I think he will improve in the next year after a summer of weight training and skating.

Tim Thomas has been the man in Boston since they lost their top goaltender, Raycroft has faultered and Tim has taken the load as the number one goaltender. Also, Tim was the top goaltender in the Finnish elite league last season.

Bus is leaving the station on the Jordy Bandwagon. I am definately on it. I was also on it last season too so I have reserved a seat on it again.

I doubt it, I bet Hak rides JPar the rest of the way. Jordy has proven to be a top line goalie and I have little confidence in Phil right now.

I would bet that Oshie will be here three years. I am crossing my fingers.

Stafford had two nice goals tonight. I am very happey about his play tonight. I just hope he can keep it going tomorrow night.
