Maybe Grand Forks should just get rid of its airport?
-
Yes, you would think so. But UND is going to UND.
-
It's unlikely they'll finish below Miami.

He never shied away from calling things like he saw them, that's for sure.

That better?

Horrible way to leave this world.

Former Grand Forks Herald sportswriter and columnist Ryan Bakken has passed away. https://www.grandforksherald.com/news/ryan-bakken-longtime-herald-staffer-remembered-as-a-storyteller-mentor Condolences to his family.

How many teams do we get to before the talent level gets wattered down?
-
What a difference a few months makes! After the 2024 season ended, I was very pessimistic about this program. Now I can't wait for the 2025 season to start! LGH! 😁
-
I wasn't talking about other teams, just the Wild. I agree with you on the butterfly effect. I think Zach wanted to live closer to home.
-
The bottom line is that Parise was not going to win the Stanley Cup with the Wild. That team has been average at best from their first game in 2000. One division title in a quarter century of existence doesn't exactly scream excellence.
-
We'll know soon enough.
-
Overall, the odds are much better for that to happen.
-
I was thinking the same thing at the time. Turns out I was right (unfortunately).
-
Just having Toews on the team is huge for experience and leadership, whether or not he wears the "C".

It lasted a lot longer than some other names. -
To be honest, after the 1997 flood, it is amazing Grand Forks is in as good of shape as it is. Some people had Grand Forks emptying out after the flood. Thankfully that didn't happen.
-
What are his sources? Perhaps he can share a link to where he is getting the information.
-
This isn't about my feelings. It just doesn't make sense. We've been hearing about the demise of Grand Forks since before the 1997 flood and yet, Grand Forks is still here.
-
I don't want to "boom" like Fargo; that is too much growth at once. If you are correct, then we will have a ton of new infrastructure and fewer people to support it. I don't like that proposition.
-
I don't think you can explain all of it with that.
-
I don't think you would have big real estate developments on the south end if Grand Forks was hemorrhaging population.

https://www.grandforksherald.com/news/local/oxford-realty-planning-to-develop-30-acres-of-land-near-future-altru-sports-complex So is this so Casper and his friends have a nice place to live?
-
All that growth on the south end has to be for some reason. Is it so ghosts can find affordable places to live?

The Moon might do better in a different location (Columbia Road) where it is easier to get to from our two major event hubs (REA, Alerus Center).
