Boston College is a small private school trying to compete in FBS vs. larger schools with bigger budgets and deeper pockets. I wish them luck and I am impressed that they are jumping in with both feet and are serious about it.

Nobody is suggesting this. But it's okay to be optimistic about this team and program again. Our defense is one of the best in all of FCS. Our offense should focus on sustaining long drives that end in TDs. If we can do that, I think we win on Saturday.

That was a magical time for this program.

They've slashed their budget. They've cut out almost all road games. And they've latched onto Augustana hockey and the CCHA with a vengeance. It is reasonable to assume they'll retrench into their home state of South Dakota and further cut back their coverage of UND athletics and everything else north of Dakota Magic casino. I could be wrong, I hope I'm wrong, but if I'm right, we'd better have a Plan B to fall back on.

Midco is not providing the calibre of coverage this program needs and deserves. I think they want to focus exclusively on South Dakota programming in the future. It may be time to start planning a future without Midco once the current contract runs out.

So if Team USA doesn't win a medal, at least I'll know who to blame?

The Wilfs need to buy out Kwesi and KOC after the season is over. Hire competent people in both positions. Trade Jefferson and anyone else with value for players and/or draft picks. The "competitive rebuild" has been a disaster. It needs to end. Blow it all up and start over.

But Fruechte may see something on film that he thinks might work, so we might throw it around inside the five again.

And smoking used to be considered harmless or even healthy. As we learn new things, we change protocols accordingly. The ignorance of some people is truly astounding and infuriating.

Way too much "puzzlin'" with how the offense has been managed this season.

What did you expect from a kid making his first NFL start under terrible circumstances? That being said, I think the Vikings should lose out and get a QB with their first pick.

Making a lateral move within the same conference. I know which team Ole Miss fans will hate on the most now.

No one is "dogging" anyone. But a player that hops from one team to another can be a red flag. I think that is the point here. We'll see if it works out for him. At least he isn't going to NDSU-CKS.

That doesn't mean it will work out for him like he thinks. He won't enjoy being blown out by every good team the Goofs play.

Like Lennon used to say: "Earn another sixty."

I've seen it happen in all sports, at all levels.

He needs AA.

The NDSU zealots will insist they are immune to this.

Hope he enjoys getting blown out by the Iowas and THE Ohio States of the world. That particular row boat has too many leaks in it to go anywhere special.

Could we buy them out? A smaller school like BSU can always use some extra $$$$$.

Thank God for that! Now can we please STOP SCHEDULING THIS TEAM?!?!

Which is why losing to them would kill us in March when the tournament bids are handed out.
