  1. I have always said that the best way to move up is to have the 4 Dakota schools and the 2 Montana schools move up together. There is strength in numbers and along with those numbers, bargaining power.
  2. More creativity and outside the box thinking could take us places.
  3. Careful, we don't want Imperial Cass County boosters coming here to dispute your description of their market size as being "small".
  4. We've heard this before. I'll believe it when I see it.
  5. Brosmer can't do any worse than J.J. or Wentz did.
  6. Isn't that the very definition of smash mouth?
  7. This is what people on here that want instant success don't understand. Schmidt is working with mainly Bubba's leftover guys. They aren't bad players, but they aren't elite either. Good old fashioned recruiting is the solution to this problem and Schmidt looks to be doing a good job on that front. Give him a couple of years when he has his recruits (and a few portal transfers) on the field and I think we'll like what happens next.
  8. So play calling isn't on the OC? Last time I checked, Jerry doesn't call his own plays.
  9. The OC is coaching for his job on Saturday.
  10. If his recruiting classes are as good on the field as they look on paper, we'll be in business.
  11. Cripes, WE don't understand his verbiage half the time.
  12. Unless Jerry is calling his own plays, play calling is on the OC. I think our OC is coaching for his job on Saturday.
  13. Shouldn't having 52% of the FB revenue go to REA be stopped? I believe that is a legitimate gripe.
  14. So we should make another change at the top? You're getting into @gfhockey territory with these posts. Maybe you've made your mind up about Schmidt, but I haven't. The instant gratification thinking on this forum is nauseating. And I am the furthest thing from being a ducky and bunny guy.
  15. Besides Deng Deng, who else scares anyone? We need to build depth.
  16. Maybe Schmidt can find someone in the portal.
  17. I'm sure Schmidt has lots of coaches he worked with during his coaching stops that he could reach out to.
  18. I am not a ducky and bunny guy on here and I never will be. But if you thought Schmidt was going to have this team contending for a championship in season one, you were setting yourself up for disappointment. -The depth isn't there. -The experience in big moments isn't there. -The lack of athletes at wide receiver hasn't been there for years. The portal will be important going forward. But the real measuring stick will be how Schmidt's recruiting classes pan out on the field. We'll find that out in the next couple of years. I am sure Schmidt and his staff will look at the season and identify areas that need improvement, both in personnel and in scheme. I know the past 15+ years have been frustrating and that whole Groundhog Day feeling is always just under the surface. But I still think Schmidt was a great choice long term. Less than 12 months is not a big enough sample size to determine if the hire was successful or not.
  19. If you want to push for another coaching change, please go right on ahead.
  20. I want the guys coming back next year to remember the sick feeling they have right now and use it as motivation for 2026. You aren't a loser until you quit trying.
  21. If you want to throw in the towel, go ahead. I'll continue supporting the program.
  22. Mr. B1G/NFL seems happy with 2.0 yards per rush.
  23. It's psychological. After 15+ years of letdowns and mediocrity, it's hard to not be skittish.
