2024-25 University of North Dakota Hockey Season

I agree with all of this. I hope Zmolek is the only season ending injury. -
That meme is pretty high quality though.
-
But the real question is, what's the team GPA and community service hours?

Doable, especially if most of our injured players are back. -

John Cooper got canned for not beating Michigan. Postseason success might be Day's salvation. -

I think Ryan Day needs to at least make the semifinals to cool his coaching seat off. That program has not been quite the same since Urban Meyer stepped down. -

I imagine a similar discussion is happening amongst the Alabama FB fanbase right now. Generally speaking, I would rather have conversations like this vs. hoping we have a winning season or can earn home ice for the NCHC first round. -
Bubba calling criticism "outside noise" didn't help either.
-
What did? The sight of the head coach sleeping in a meeting or that it was leaked?
-
Having first round games on campus is awesome. It's where college football belongs.
-
The picture of Bubba sleeping in a meeting was the tipping point.

Our injured players need time to heal. We need that to happen if we want to make a run in March and (hopefully) April. -
@Oxbow6 is simply expressing the commonly felt frustration of our fan base that while the other Dakota schools are in the FCS semifinals, the flagship university of North Dakota is left with hoping there are no significant losses to the portal. That being said, I have faith in Schmidt that he will make noticeable improvements in the program. It just won't happen fast enough for any of us.

If we had won on Wednesday, then yes. But we didn't, so I don't think it will happen. -

How do we know if they are quality or not until they see the field? It's an inexact science at best.

As long as we kick Canada's a$$, I am fine with whomever they pick. 🙂 -

I don't think that will last long term. Miami has been bad for a long time. -
I think if the FB hire doesn't work out, he'll be gone.

Nobody is suggesting that intercollegiate athletics is as important as our families or the larger problems of the world. All some of us are pointing out is that there are real deficiencies in this program right now. We are falling behind other blue bloods in postseason success. Recruiting will suffer in the long run if we don't reverse this trend. Denver has won 3 Natty's since our last in 2016. And they did it despite all the obstacles some of our fans use as an excuse for our program not having similar success. Being positive as a general rule of life is good. Ignoring problems within the program in the name of positivity is not. -

Agree 100%. Besides Miami, this league is very strong top to bottom. -
Fair points. I brought up the 3-4 because so many people here have talked about it being obsolete.
-
Actually, I think it's both. The 3-4 was put in to stop an offense that most teams don't run anymore. It was time to change it up.
-
If we manage to win this game, Mal might get another extension.
