Do you think we hold NDSU to 15 points under last year's regime? We would have given up three to four TDs at minimum. It would have been pitch and catch down the middle of the field all game long, with a few long QB runs thrown in for good measure. This is NOT Bubba Ball. I do think Schmidt made a mistake retaining Fruechte and I think a change is needed there. But I still have faith in Schmidt and what he is trying to build here.

I think Schmidt is aiming a little higher than (Bill) Murray State. And while CFB isn't the NFL, it ain't high school either. We need a change in offensive coordinator.

Anyone who wants to give up on the season is welcome to. I'm not. We'll probably roll over (Bill) Murray State and then the season will be on the line at home vs. SDSU. We had better not have only 5 or 6 thousand there. The team will need our support more than ever.

I think Schmidt needs to consider making a change at offensive coordinator at the end of this season (short of us going on a magical playoff run). Too many of his play calls don't make sense and I am running out of patience. 😡

I really wish they would simplify this crap. Go to 4x4 OT for 10 minutes for regular season games. If it's still tied, then that's what we put in the record books. Playoffs would remain the same as always (play until there is a winner).

Bubba didn't leave the cupboard bare like Mussman did, but it isn't top notch FCS talent either. Schmidt is getting the best out of what he has to work with. I think Schmidt will bring in top notch FCS talent, but you won't see those kids on the field for a couple more years.

Have we ever played well in the Dakota Dome? It seems like we struggle to win down there more often than not. Edit: Our last road win vs. USD was in 2008.

I think SDSU is very poachable this year, especially since we have them at home. NDSU will be much tougher, but being at home gives us a decent chance.

I don't disagree at all. Saturday was very frustrating. But we have to remember that this is a process. So far, I like what Schmidt is doing.

Anyone who thought Eric Schmidt's first season would go smoothly without any bumps in the road was delusional. He is working with mainly Bubba's leftovers and the team is already much improved. Once he gets a couple of recruiting classes on the field, I think we'll be Top 10 nationally, if not higher.

This is NOT Bubba Ball anymore. One bad game on the road does not mean we are back to Bubba Ball. SMH
