  1. Honestly, if Jax can get us back to playing solid defense, taking care of the puck, attacking the net and fighting hard for every loose puck, I'll be excited to watch Sioux hockey again.
  2. I am more than happy to give Jackson the benefit of the doubt. Please clean this mess up Dane.
  3. If you want to cheer her on, go ahead. But you won't shame me into doing it. Since when did it become wrong to root against NDSU? We have become soft and complacent.
  4. There should be a cap on number of transfers.
  5. Someone will ask eventually, so I'll do it: How many other offers and from where?
  6. I don't wish anything bad for her or her family. But I sure as heck won't be cheering her on. If she gets booed at The Betty, she will have brought it on herself.
  7. Hockey being a close knit community helps.
  8. Maybe get a bunch of former players to pool their resources and start something big?
  9. A bit of good news? 🙂
  10. The catch is you have to leave it there for 40 years.
  11. Anyone who wants to go down there and cheer her on and "be a part of it" is welcome to do so. I won't be doing it. She's now no better than any other NDSU-CKS player. What are we going to do about this Chaves? Nothing as usual?
  12. Nope. @Walsh Hall has already decided this isn't possible.
  13. They don't seem very concerned about it.
  14. We either adapt or die. No sense in bemoaning it. I do agree 100% however.
  15. The NDSU FB power structure will fight that tooth and nail.
  16. I agree with this.
  17. Lawyers and tax accountants. They'll both make a lot of money from NIL.
  18. I know nothing about the tax code (and don't want to read all 15,000 pages of it, either), but we need to think outside the box on this issue. NIL is a new concept and hasn't been around very long. It will evolve over time. We just need to be willing to step outside our comfort zone and brainstorm things we have never thought about before.
  19. Set by each conference or the NCAA as a whole?
  20. I think @RhettRingers has proven himself as a reliable source of information.
  21. This is the best idea I have seen on this topic so far.
  22. Aren't a lot of those endowments mainly used for scholarships and other academic-based initiatives? Donors may have specified certain conditions on the use of the funds they donated.
  23. No, I wouldn't do that. How else can the athletic department's talking points get out to the fans? Even if I don't agree with them, they should be allowed to be heard by all.
  24. It is high time we build relationships with more than one donor. Relying on one family for donations is inadequate and short-sighted.
