Nobody is suggesting that intercollegiate athletics is as important as our families or the larger problems of the world. All some of us are pointing out is that there are real deficiencies in this program right now. We are falling behind other blue bloods in postseason success. Recruiting will suffer in the long run if we don't reverse this trend. Denver has won 3 Natty's since our last in 2016. And they did it despite all the obstacles some of our fans use as an excuse for our program not having similar success. Being positive as a general rule of life is good. Ignoring problems within the program in the name of positivity is not.

Actually, I think it's both. The 3-4 was put in to stop an offense that most teams don't run anymore. It was time to change it up.

What about a shorter extension (1 or 2 years)? Keep him on his toes a little. I don't care if it's the "industry standard" to do that; we have to start having accountability for coaches who underachieve in the postseason.

Chaves better not give Berry a long extension. He hasn't earned it. He needs to learn from the Bubba extension a couple of years back.
