Why should we? After 15+ years of mediocrity and frustration, some positive vibes are called for here.

A top four finish gets us a 1 seed. -
Miami is much improved this year, but these are valuable league points at home and we have to take advantage.
-
90% of our shots are from the damn perimeter. And not all of them are reaching the net. Miami collapsing around their net. We have to get more second and third shots that don't go into the netting.
-
Need to get pucks to the net.
-
And too much perimeter crap.

Hennessy sounds horrible. Don't know if he'll make it through the weekend. He also called the Redhawks the Blackhawks once
-
Amen. Need to build momentum for the playoffs

Despite the efforts of people like Adam Wodon. -
Next week things are going to change......it's going to act like February again.

Sadly, it doesn't seem to matter how much business a restaurant has.
-
But according to @gfhockey, it doesn't matter because the NDUS is changing their funding formula. I don't care what the funding formula is or how much they make off of pull tabs, that is a huge amount of money ANNUALLY just to reach the average funding level of the MWC.

The prep is the worst part of that procedure.

I think we would have lost more players early (portal and/or NHL), we wouldn't have landed the CHL talent we have now and we would have kept playing the outdated style Berry insisted on playing. This year's team would definitely finish in the lower half of the league if the coaching change hadn't been made. The 8th or 9th place finish is the worst case scenario, but even if that didn't happen, it would be one of our worst seasons in decades. Thank God Chaves made the move he did.

I was thinking more about clinching the Penrose before the WMU road series. -

Don't rush him back. Get him healed up for the playoffs. -
So we can have great academics or great athletics, but not both? That sounds like the Rutgers model to me. I don't want to be Rutgers. Fundraising for academics and athletics should be separate. I think we could establish an athletics endowment by tapping into revenue sources we haven't tapped into yet. But as long as we stick to our archaic, Division 2 funding model, that won't happen. And enough of relying entirely on one donor (we all know who that is). That isn't feasible going forward, especially as the costs of running an athletic department continue to go up. Outside the box thinking is needed here. Not living in the 1990's.

I vote for #3.

FYP. These next four games are at home and absolutely must result in regulation wins. Splitting at Western would be great as well. -
Well, I'm sure Chaves is rolling up his sleeves.

One reason I don't eat Taco Bell anymore.

Agree to disagree. Besides, it's completely out of our hands.

So you think FCS shouldn't exist? Hate to tell you this, but it does and will continue to exist.
-
Hawks Nest is a great name idea. I conjured that name up myself awhile back (great minds think alike). Before a 501c is formed however, we need to figure out where our revenue will come from. That is the difference between being competitive or not.

Low tier bowl games are going extinct in the near future. They are money losers, don't offer enough exposure to be worth it and players who are looking ahead to the NFL draft don't want to get hurt in what is (to them) a meaningless game. Football will always have subdivisions. Once the P4 decide they want their own playoff and don't want G6 schools "polluting it", you will have a G6 playoff tournament. It is only a matter of time.
