We could have evening games in August and September, but the coaches don't like night games. We did them in 2001 when the Alerus Center opened and they were a blast.
Cripes, please don't post crap like this unless you are sure that the source is credible. Someone else was posting on here that he is working out with the team every day. Both of them cannot be right.
Some people want to attend our games and the start times dictate whether or not they can be there.
Not saying we can do anything about it, but it is a legitimate point.
This injury would have been more devastating a couple of years ago when we were thin at so many positions. Now, we are better positioned to compensate for it. Still feel bad for the kid; he was on track to be drafted in an early round.
For the first time in a long time, we have actual expectations to meet and/or exceed. That will create more pressure on the team. We'll see how they handle it.
You aren't going to get fans back with one competitive season following years of losing 90+ games. People are taking a wait and see attitude towards this franchise.
I beg your pardon troll? You were making the point that only "big-time" Division I FBS institutions were likely to add Division I hockey. The other posters are suggesting mainly Division II schools as possible candidates to add hockey.
And FWIW, I was a student at Central when they dropped "Redskins". Any other insipid points you want to make troll?
Yeah, when I think North Dakota and College Hockey, I think about Bemidji, Mercyhurst and Mankato in the next breath.
I know it is the off-season and your are bored, but please try to find something more productive to do than troll SS.com.
