I don't EVER want to hear about "7 wins" as a minimum requirement for the playoffs EVER again. That idea was flushed down the toilet yesterday at 10am CT.

The D is on the field way too much. Eventually, they get worn down. Even after today, the D is one of the top five units in the league. And some of those young guys are going to get better with more game experience. Rome wasn't built in a day and neither will this team.

I remember back in 1991 we got snubbed in favor of Mankato State and people were just livid. Well, we made the playoffs the next year and we turned the corner as a program in 1993. So that is where I am coming from on this. Were we screwed? Yes. Is it the end of the world? No.

Yeah, I have a history of histrionics (tongue twister for you there) on this forum. But I also believe in optimism when it is called for and I think this is a situation where things are more good than bad.

The franchise is going in the right direction, but they aren't quite there yet. The offensive line needs some serious upgrades in talent in the 2016 draft. They probably need to think about finding an eventual replacement for Peterson, who won't be around forever. A couple more wide receivers wouldn't hurt either. This team is getting better each year (5-10-1 in 2013; 7-9 in 2014; 7-3 so far in 2015). Spielman is drafting good and Zimmer is the best coach we've had since Grant (sorry, but Burns, Green, Tice, Childress and Frazier didn't do much for me). This season is also not over yet. I am still on the bandwagon and will always be. Skol Vikings!

Oh, I have zero problem with people venting on here. I just wanted to remind everybody of just how far we have come in two short years and what we have to look forward to. Was this a travesty of justice? Yes. Does it prevent us from continuing to build a championship program (and I am not talking just Big Sky titles, either)? No way. 2016 will be here before we know it and it will be well worth the wait.

The Vikings absolutely, positively must focus on the O-Line in the 2016 draft. They have little to no depth and Bridgewater is getting hit way too often for my taste.

I think everyone is up in arms about little or nothing. This team and program are headed in the right direction and it is clear that Bubba's efforts to change the culture are working. Two years ago, we were staring into the abyss of a 3-8 season with a head coaching vacancy and a lot of anxiety and uncertainty on this forum and elsewhere about where the program was headed and how long it would take to put the pieces back together. Now we are knocking on the door of the FCS playoffs and will have an excellent chance to break down that door next season. Bubba and his staff will use this as a motivational tool to get the team fired up and determined to have a true breakout season. Forget about 2015. Focus on 2016, the Big Sky conference title and being a seeded team in the FCS playoffs with that all-important first round bye. That would be more productive than bellyaching about being screwed by the playoff committee. If this program improves like I think it will, the committee won't have a chance to screw us out of anything.

I like NHL '95 where you can make your own players. It is so much fun designing your own forwards, defensemen and goaltenders. And they would absolutely tear up the league.

Who has Notre Dame beaten? They lost to #1 Clemson, but have they beaten any ranked teams? Looks like a reputation ranking to me.

At least they are de-emphasizing that annoying "Hugo Boy" mascot. That got really tiresome.

I like the one he did where he was at the baseball game and a foul ball shattered a car windshield and Bradshaw was laughing about it...not realizing it was HIS car! I like him on Fox NFL Sunday, but he was not that good of a color analyst in the broadcast booth.
