  1. When I used to talk about this, people wanted me to point out concrete examples to back up my point. Here you have a concrete example pointed out by someone......and those same people ignore it. Funny how that works.
  2. No, he played at UND during the 10 year gap between #5 and #6 (1987 to 1997).
  3. In other words, run the athletic department like a high school.
  4. Honestly, this is all water under the bridge. Hak is in Philly, Berry is in Grand Forks and #8 is hanging from the rafters. Life is good.
  5. That is not what I was referring to.
  6. Okay, I think we should stop the talk of Finley's personal life and/or behavior. Whatever problems he has, I hope he straightens them out.
  7. Lee never seemed happy in college; perhaps he didn't like the academics. Finley was big and physical, but just didn't have the quickness to counter the speedy, skilled forwards that other teams had. Nothing against either of them as people, but they just had some major flaws as players.
  8. Lee didn't have a long, successful NHL career like Oshie and Toews have had. I recall him bouncing between the AHL and NHL quite often. As for Finley, his struggles helped change our recruiting philosophy for defensemen. We switched to more mobile defensemen who could move more easily and contribute on the offensive end. You saw how valuable that was last year.
  9. Joe "The Pylon" Finley and Brian "I can't hold the zone on the power play" Lee earned most of the criticism they got.
  10. That is what the UC-Davis D2 National Semifinal game was like in 2001. And even the GVSU National Quarterfinal game in 2004. We'll get it back there, it will take a little more time. We were so bad for so long that people have forgotten how to get excited at our home games. It is getting better and will continue getting better.
  11. Kind of like the logo the T-Wolves started out with back in 1989. It looked like the family dog, not a wolf.
  12. There is always a lot of walk-up, so I wouldn't be writing off the fans just yet.
  13. Good point. But 6-2 is 6-2 and we keep finding ways to win.
  14. Geez, wait until we start losing games to talk negative.
  15. Prevent defense is crap, whether it is high school, NFL or college. It is also crap in hockey, but that's another topic for another place. We better figure out this short-quick-pass weakness or we'll be leaving the Alerus Center on Saturday feeling pretty empty.
  16. He doesn't want to get suspended!
  17. Even in today's hyper-driven media world, some kids fly under the radar and get overlooked. Great job by Bubba and his staff for plucking this one.
  18. On the other hand, if Brewster was still there......
  19. Weren't you going to go away once the old nickname and logo were retired? Or maybe I misunderstood you? Simple Questions (Copyright gfhockey 2016. ALL Rights Reserved!).
  20. I assume you are being sarcastic. In that case, agree 1000%
  21. Another thought.....what if this is a back-door, clandestine attempt to get us back into Division 2?
  22. Like I've said, they are looking at running it like high school. Have as many sports as possible and who cares if more than half of them don't have winning records. That is unacceptable. There had better be something else going on we don't know about or I will have a serious bone to pick with President Kennedy. And if there is a decision coming to not fund FCOA to balance the budget, I will be calling for heads (Kennedy's and Faison's).
  23. Who cares? As long as we take home the BSC title, that is all that really matters.
  24. And that banner cost us big-time in the long-run.
