I have already explained it in other posts in other threads. But since you always buy whatever explanation you are served up no matter how puzzling the official explanation is, I won't bother explaining it again.

I think the tide may be turning on that now that the choice is between Fighting Hawks and Roughriders. Which gives me even more ammo to my theory that Kelley was trying to help Fighting Hawks win when he let Nodaks survive the initial round of voting despite finishing 3rd.

Just voted Roughriders for the third time. I can live with either one, but it is clear which one better reflects the criteria the Committee set forth. Go Riders Go!

Agreed. However, whomever comes after Jones will have to be paid more. Otherwise, we might get another mediocre D-I assistant who can't cut it as a head coach. Because that is what we have right now.

Sometimes, the truth hurts, and the truth is that (outside of men's and women's hockey) our other programs (with a few exceptions) have underperformed compared to NDSU, a very similar institution to UND and with some of the same challenges (climate, geography, one-bid conference). The key is leadership and vision or lack thereof. NDSU has had that over the last 10 years and UND has not. We have a lot of work to do in several areas and to deny this is pure ostrich behavior.

I just brought them up as an example, as they were very prominent leaders at UND for a long time. And your response seemed to indicate that they were part of the problem, which I took some exception to.

Please don't try to paint the Packers as a team with a tough schedule. How many bad teams have they beaten at home? And what happened when they went on the road two consecutive weeks against good teams (Denver, Carolina)? That's right, they lost. Now they'll beat the crap out of the Lions this week and all their sycophants in the media will have them back in the Super Bowl again. It's a long season and nobody knows what will happen. But the Packers have a very suspect defense and that is their biggest issue.

I was in many of their classes. Were you? And I am not Don Adam and I am not making $@#& up as I go. I think the true source of your discontent is something you are not sharing with us.

I can tell you that the Kweits (Mary and Robert) didn't do that. They would debate us in class if we disagreed with one of their statements.

I never felt like anybody was pushing their opinions down my throat when I was at student. At least that is how the College of Business and Public Administration worked. And even outside of that school, I never had a problem with "brainwashing".

Because lumping people into one category is not a good idea. And this is from somebody who doesn't like how the Legislature does things. And yes, I didn't like the lobbying for Big Oil, but I think Ed will do a great job as interim President of UND.

And yet, both men are considered American heroes today. So let's please keep this in perspective.

Well, he used to work for the government, he hasn't held political office for awhile. And that is a very ignorant statement. Judge the individual on his or her merits.

You just had to go there, didn't you? Seriously, I don't care about what Wrigley does in his personal life or anyone else for that matter.

Generally, interim positions are about keeping the train on the tracks and not making big changes or launching big initiatives.

But have you forgotten? Men's hockey wouldn't suffer all that much if we go back on the sanctions list, so it's "a small price to pay" to go back on it if it means getting the Fighting Sioux name and logo back. After all, none of the other programs matter anyway, right? (sarcasm)
