Ever since this schedule was finalized 3 or so years back, I have been looking forward to it more and more each year. After having to sit through D2 and NAIA games, finally we have a home schedule where I am excited to go to every game!! I look forward to the challenge of playing the best in the Big Sky...and at our house makes it even better. Secured 2 tailgate spots for the season and looking forward to a great year of UND football. Hope we can pack the Alerus every week and get UND football back to where it used to be.....where it should be...as CHAMPIONS!!

Dude, just one thing for you. Can you just drop the whole "University of Agriculture and Applied Sciences" thing? Everytime you post something and then pull out that line, it just makes you sound pompous and ignorant. We all get your hatret for their football team, schoo, etc. But just call them NDSU. It's getting annoying. Thanks.

So anyway.......Valpo at the Alerus Center Thursday. Can't wait!!

Guess what, every college football team has cupcakes to start the season. NDSU is playing Ferris St., we are playing Valpo. Heck even LSU is playing Kent St and UAB. Look at the rest of our schedule and you will see why we signed up to be D1.

A song about "getting crunk"? I can see why they told you to shove off. I doubt the team, University and the ALerus Center want to promote a song with those lyrics!!

We all know. UND had a fan night for football. So did NDSU. More people were at Ndsu's fan night because they are more popular right now and have a larger population to draw from to attend. That simple. If you want to gloat or make fun, then do it. But there really isn't much to discuss. NDSU football is more popular right now. Championships, more fans, more tailgaters....we get it. Either make fun or float and move on. We all know what you are getting at. I am more interested in talking about football than fan fests.

I agree that they guiys are wanting a shutout. But, they will probably score late in the 4th on a trick play against our backups. We are gonna put up some big numbers thursday. UND - 48 Valpo - 7

I don't think that the QB debate has been decided yet. Muss had to name a starter. Does that mean he is more prepared for starting the game against Valpo? Probably. But because he is starting the game against Valpo doesn't gaurantee him the start against the Jackrabbits. Thursday game will be a great audition for who starts Against SDSU. Sure Bartels was better in camp and got the nod, but that doesn't mean he is way ahead of Molberg. Could be just a slight edge. I believe that whoever performs better Thursday will get the start the next week. I don't agree that Molberg has l;ost control of his destiny. He can very well play his way into the starting role.

QB situation still isn't figured out. Neither has played a down in a college game yet. Who knows, Molberg may play better in the Valpo game and start against the Jacks. Time will tell.

Whenever Bison fans gave me crap about rushing the floor in 2012 at the Ralph after beating them, I just tell them it was a rehearsal for when we punch our ticket to the Big Dance at the BIG SKY Tournament in Grand Forks!!!

That was the problem....we had to many local guys from EGF, Fargo, Jamestown, etc. Where did that get us?!!

Sales of new merchandise obviously hinge on selecting a name and logo that looks good and people like. Given that happens, I think that you will see plenty of people wearing the new merchandise. It may take a few years, but people will soon realize that we need to support UND athletics no matter what they are called.

Molberg wins BSC offensive player of the week!

I could see one opening on Gateway Dr. next to the new Walmart. Potentially lots of Canadian traffic there and they would drffinitely be drawn to it.

Let's all just be happy we had a secondary logo. Otherwise we would be using the "North Dakota" block letters as a logo. So we have a similar logo. That's ok for now. We will have a new logo soon enough. Then we can avoid all confustion!!

If Molberg is clearly "the guy" ink him in as the starter for Valpo and SDSU. Having him know that he is going to start both games and be the starter for the season will give him the confidence and mindset to be prepared for those games. If after 2 weeks he struggles, then give Bartels the ball. But picking the starter this week into the Valpo game is the right move IMO.
