Problem with having them at the ends it it interferes when the bleachers on both sides are partially folded up and all 4 course are used. Only thing that makes sense is a scoreboard hanging from the center. Not sure why they didn't do that in the first place! It is amazing how the Ralph is such a first class facility and has all the amenities, and is considered to be one of the nicest sports building in the coutry and the Betty is lacking on so many ammenities. It should have looked more like what the new SHAC in Fargo looks like as opposed to what they have. I guess it goes back to what sport that athletic department covits more!!

Anyone been to Sweeto Burrito? I was not impressed. 9 bucks for a burrito smaller than Qdoba's and it has very little tast. Needless to say it was the first and last time I will go there. Don't see what all the hype is about!!

Agreed. Most of the Big Sky has pass heavy offenses. That is why we need to be different. Being a run first, clock chewing, solid defensively team is not only important for this week, but for every week moving forward. Have done a great job transitioning to this type of a team this year. The 3rd quarter of the Portland State game is what I want the identity of this team to be like moving forward. Most will agree.

Hopefully Seibel can continue to progress and have more games like the one he had against Portland St. Waiting for Walker to break out with a big game this season. I think that this week he will have a great opportunity to do so. Good to hear Shaugs is making the trip. We deffinitely need to pound away at the T-Birds this week on the ground. Having a good rotation with Shaugs, Garmin, and Norberg should hopefully keep our backs fresh and wear them down.

Sioux Falls is pretty ideal when you think about it. There are 8 schools within about 7 hours of Sioux Falls (UND, UNO, UM, MSUM, UMD, SCSU, BSU, WIS) and CC and Denver are only a couple hours more than those. So deffinitely centrally located for many fans of those schools to drive to if they make it. Plus, the place is brand new and a hockey team is the primary tenant. Only bad thing is that it will mot likely be chosen over any bid put in by the Ralph.

The students are given a pretty big size lot to tailgate in. They can get reserved spots. That's a pretty sweet deal. I have a reserved spot that it right next to the student lot. Do I feel excluded from the rest of the big rigs up closer to the building? No. Because if I want to go up to Tailgate Village, or mingle with the other tailgaters, I walk up there. I see the point being not by everyone else. But you still have the option to roam around. That's the best part about tailgating. Interacting with fellow fans. Heck, most of the time they will hook you up with food or an adult beverage if you are of age!!

The point is are students just going to these games to drink? If so they can stay home and do that. I thought students went to games to support their fellow classmates and their college team. Students being jaded at officials for "busting" them for drinking at games when its pretty well known that alcohol is not allowed in the student section seems pretty dumb.

You're probably right. For some reason I thought they were closer together. Either way it's progressing nicely.

They have about 13-14 of the roof trusses up as well as the roof over it last time I rolled over the Colombia overpass to check. Mabe more by now. Really starting to take shape. I think I heard Faison say in an interview that they are really pushing to get the the roof up before the snow flies so they can do a lot of the work inside over the winter.

Was again dissapointed with the crowd on Saturday. Not so much the numbers, but the lack of fan interest by people at the game!! It is beyond frustrating when we score a TD and people won't even stand up to cheer. When we had the pick 6 and converted the 2 point, there were countless fans just golf clapping sitting on their butts. On that last drive where we needed a stop to put it into overtime, it was more of the same. Tie game against the #6 team in the country that beat us by 42 points last year and we have a chance to win, and there were hundreds of fans that I could see that simply were not inengaged in the game and seemed they coulod care less. I am not asking for fans to be jumping up and down for every play on defense and screaming at the top of their lungs. But if you are going to drive out to the Alerus and attend the game, at least show that you want to be their and support the team. There are spectators and there are fans. Which one do you want to be?

And the amazing thing is Bubba is having this type of success (defensively mostly) with Mussman's guys. Can't wait till his guys get plugged into his sytem. Things are looking promising to say the least.

How bout mixing it up and not only change the name of our nickname, but change the way it is referenced and said. What I mean is, if we pick a sweet name like "Warriors" and reference it in the non NA way to our military or Air Base, the nickname could be the Warriors, and we could be known as.... "The Warriors of North Dakota"

The first thing they are doing is more than likely coming up with a timeline of when a new name will be selected and implemented. Then probably determine how a name will be selected. Will they take suggestions from alumni, fans, etc? Will they narrow it down to a final 10, 4, 2?? Will there be a city wide vote to narrow down the list for Kelley to decide? There is much more to the process than just deciding on a new name. And that is what this committee is being asked to do.

LAst time I was excited for UND mens basketball was last March when we were playing in the Big Sky Tournament Championship game for a bid to the NCAA Tournament. what's your point?!!
