In the history of college hockey, has a school ever been "ejected" from the current conference they are in? If UND joined the BTHC and all of a sudden Nebraska started a program and joined the conference, it would be a very unprecedented move by the B1G to kick a member out for the sole reason of "we don't need you anymore."

So what does she want? Get every student at UND to come to the Ralph and have Kennedy up there with a giant chalkboard and have people yell out their ideas for how they think UND should handle the budge cuts and then somehow have everyone agree on a plan?!!

That would be a pretty good final. However, I would much rather see UND beat Denver in the semis and Duluth for the Championship!!

If the B1G wants an 8th team, I really don't see a team other than UND that would even have a chance of getting an invite. The BTHC really has no other option if they want to make it an 8 team league IMO. And UND needs to be aware of this when negotiating any deal. It's not a big bargaining chip, but it is something.

Any bird logo that has an Indian headdress was never going to be considered. Just a sad attempt to make it similar to the Sioux logo.

The problem with what he is doing is he specifically designed this logo to be a potential logo for UND. This logo came out before the official Fighting HAwks logo was released. This is America and he has the right to start a business and sell merchandise. If people are willing to buy it, good for him. (Yeah Capitalism). But I can still question his motive and criticize him for that. As I said before, UND is trying to build a new brand. You will start to see the Fighting Hawks more and more. It will start to show up on jerseys, center court/ice/field at games, on buildings, etc. Having one brand and symbol to market is the smart strategy. Especially when it is a new logo. A secondary logo is probably a good idea, I don't expect UND to add one for a long time.

UND joins the BTHC, ASU joins the NCHC. Both conferences will then be at an even 8. Problem solved!!

Goon states that UND would "immediately vilified as blowing up the NCHC." That may be true. But if St Cloud St. or Dulth were given an invite to join the BTHC, they would jump at the opportunity!! Sure it would tick off NCHC fan basses. But UND needs to do what is best for UND and its hockey program. Worrying about how other schools are gonna react shouldn't be the issue.

Run the ball, stop the run. If you can do that you will be successful at every level. UND is good at both and getting better. And I don't see that changing.

I'd take Penn St over any 2 seed in the bracket. Their record is good, but their SOS is very weak. Haven't really beat anyone. Bulldoh/Hawk regional final with a trip to the FF on the line in the Scheels Center would be insane!!

The outdoor game in Omaha was cool, but deffinitely not a fan of playing in a baseball stadium. Sight lines are awful. While I am not sure if UND wants to do another outdoor game, I think one at Soldier Field would be cool. B1G did a couple games there a few years back. Viewing is much better than a baseball setup. They could do a B1G/NCHC challenge type of event. Make it two games. IMO, ideal matchups would be something like Miami v. Notre Dame and then UND v Michigan. 1 ticket gets you into both games. Chicago is a great city and fans would definitely travel there.

Wait, attendance has increased in both football and basketball compared to last year? I thought that wasn't going to happen until we switched conferences and started playing the Dakota schools again?! Maybe winning actually was the key to increased attendance!!

D1 Media really does do a great job with their layouts and their stories they put in. I expect the same with this new Fighting Hawks Magazine. I remember the old Sioux Illustrated back in the day, and it was ok, but not great. This should be a whole lot better.
