They should close the tailgate portion of the lot 1 hour before kickoff. If you aren't there before then, you are not using the spot as it was intended for. You cold still park in the lot, just not in your assigned tailgate spot.

One question I guess I have always wondered. Do they allow drinking in the student tailgate lot? If not, it is probably a good reason why it is never that full. Also a better reason for the students to go out and mingle where it is allowed!

So in other words.....Retired. They are protecting the brand just like the Sioux logo. You won't be ssing the interlocking ND logo anywhere except on a few t shirts every couple years in very limited fashion, just like the Sioux logo.

I think we will be seeing the grey helmets this year. I think there is fire in this tweet!!

Just need to form a conference with 10 schools where only 9 sponsor football then you are set. UND, NDSU, USD, SDSU, Montana, Montana St, Idaho, EWU, UNC, and throw in non football Denver to make 10. Gives you 8 conference football games where you play every team. Having an even number of teams of all other sports makes scheduling easier and it sets up great travel partners for everyone. Boom there you go!!

You are right. They NCHC is going into their final year of their contract with the Target Center. The renovations at the Target Center will be done before the 2017-2018 Timberwolves season. I would guess that they will make the decision on renewing their contract with the Target Center or moving over to the X would be done in September when the renovations are completed.

The Target Center is currently closed this summer to finish off Phase 3 of the renovations. This phase will probably be the most noticeable to fans as they are getting new seats and railings as well as improvements to the concourse, restrooms and concessions. With all the talk about moving the X, I think the NCHC would be smart to wait until after the Frozen Faceoff next year to see how the improvements affect the tournament. I have never been to the the Frozen Faceoff, but may go next year due to the updates that will be completed by this summer.

For all the haters of the name and logo, just one thing: Get used to it. It's not going anywhere. Yeah we got stuck with a generic name and a logo that didn't win the hearts and minds of all fans the second we saw it. But if you are waiting for UND to "come to their senses" and change the logo or the nickname, you are going to be disappointed. Fighting Hawks is here to stay.

Every time you refer to the Summit League as the "Slummit", you instantly lose all credibility. (Or at least the small amount you had left anyway).

So roughly the same amount womens hockey loses in ONE YEAR!!

I hope they go back to basics and make it a simple look, like this, in regards to the shoulder and striping.

I guess "Premier" is a relative term!!

Duke and North Carolina play for the Victory Bell Trophy. The bell sits on a platform that they whell it out on. The winner of the game then pains the base to the color blue that matches their school. Since both UND and NDSU have green, something similar to this could be good.
