Kennedys response should have been, "that is reasonable and a good strategy to integrate acceptance. How do you feel we can further this synergy in the ice arena? Your help in this process is greatly appreciated."

How is this so difficult for you to understand? you keep saying things not based in facts but fantasied reality of misappropriated opinions, This is not hard.

If REA paid to have teh Logo sewn into the Alerus turf, would that be an acceptable solution for this year? Would that be a compromise? I don't think even a logo at center court of the Betty would be all that offensive to the dyed in the wool Sioux Crowd. If i was Kennedy I would pick my battles a bit better and reach for compromise over contention.

Kennedy vs. Engelstad Foundation: GF herald feature

In no way, I don't get offended by the Fhawk logo, we don't cry, I laugh at it, but am not offended. An "athlete" that is emotionally damaged by seeing the words "North Dakota" instead of a logo, I have trouble supporting that. -
Turf can be painted in a matter of hours, no excuse to wait till 2020. Quite a few places actually, it has been integrated throughout in flags banners, signage and décor. I spent many hours in all areas of the building ice level on up and the logo is much more prominent than many would have people believe. Hodgson outlined the areas in todays posted emails.

Respectfully fixed your post. Jodi will have no trouble finding work. Thinking he a tremendously quality professional will be removed from Arena operations is EXACTLY the reason why people feel that UND operation of the REA will be an abysmal failure that will hurt ALL athletics even further.

the open records request certainly does shed an light on some disingenuous reporting. I believe the Hodgsons response to the email from the ss.com board member today is a much more professional and honest approach to this that would have stavced off much of the bickering. Like it or not, it was the truth, it was open and honest. -
I see this point and its a fair criticism, the process was a circus but having one part of it not as open as the others does seem to not fit. I do think SME proprietary information on the other logo types has something of a part in it.

The president of the university has made it an official position that the student athletes are "Demoralized" by not seeing a logo at center court. Childish doesn't begin to describe that label he himself has applied. I give less than two craps about the logo at center court, it matters little really, Its the principle of how the president is going about pissing off large numbers of donors AND the big BIG donors in the process. DONT PISS OF THE DONOR BASE. Basically the first line on a President's job description. -

Would it have happened without the Engelstad blessing? Or would UND have had to pay much much more for a standalone arena ans support staff? Is that not taken into account? -

This whole process makes me want to change donations from the Champions Club to the REA Foundation. Rob, Did you ever put in a records request about the 7 or 8 proposed logos that SME submitted to the university prior to selection of this one? -

Great job in reporting this it seems that the Herald could have done this in the first place. My take. If our student athletes are to snowflake hurt that they at "demoralized" by walking over the "Fighting Hawks" wordmark and then only seeing the branding wordmark at center court. DON'T LET THE DOOR HIT YA WHERE THE GOOD LORD SPLIT YA!!! I'm sure they may find a safespace somewhere at the University of Hurt Feelings or the campus of Whiningbitch College. This is basically like being invited into another persons house to live and then demanding they paint the walls the color they like. No appreciation. They can play in Hyslop. This is a process that can not be muscled I believe Kennedy has blown this way out of proportion, the demands of financial harm are far fetched at best. At this point in time Kennedy has to have some understanding that if he calls out this fight he is not going to win. Five years from now.......maybe. But he wont be here then anyway. -
US Supreme Court lets states legalize sports betting

Yes. You smoking a J, as the kids say, and hoping for Tarkington to pass for 3 TDS in the third Period doesn't make someone go into work and miss their family time. So this passes the ND smell test. -
This is an acceptable step for summer beer choice. Much more respectable. :)-

Looks like you got your answer. What response did you get from the Alerus center for mid field logo placement?
-
I'm sure the logo will make its way to center ice soon enough, I believe 2030 has been bandied about in a few other threads. BTW .... How big is the hawk logo at midfield of the Alerus?.... or is it prominently painted in the end zone?.... maybe its not as big of a conspiracy as you'd like everyone to believe.
-
Holy cow if we could get our hands on those other concepts, we would have enough to bitch about right through the summer and thebpost counts could carry the board right back into hockey season. I would think that the concepts would be protected due to some type of trade secret, They could potentially be used for diffefent clients.... lots of opportunity in the "Hawk" marketplace.

I may have to order up a grinder kit to see how the "new" new bread stacks up. See how it travels too, wont br back in Forks till Julyish. I had a dream last night I had a few days in Forks and I forgot to get a Red Pepper or any shark wings from the Cay....... actually, it was more like a nightmare.

They will very quickly I would think and then lobby quite heavily as they have in the past for "morality" bills limiting statewide gaming and thwn claim the sportsbetting as a cultural exclusive I'm willing to bet (pun intended) they attempt to have it protected for them. -
President Kennedy Candidate for UCF President's Job
Frozen4sioux replied to fightingsioux4life's topic in Community
It does appear the lines are being drawn quite clearly. I dont think Kennedy has sone a good job to date. I appreciate the fact that a change had to take place in UND leadership, and I was extreamly optimistic Kennedy could accomplish it with the conservative background that I also share as a world view. However I do believe his tact and and ability to lead has been "less than professional" and I think I expected more from him.- 485 replies

Could not these other variations be uncovered in a FOIA request?

This is a case where many states will roll with NJ and open it up. ND is going to have to choose to either Take a moral stand against gambling ( a shakey at best and hypocritical stand) or try and monitize it the best they can, as quick as they can. I would bet the tribes are going to capitalize quickly in the casinos.. although mayne they already so, I dont know its been ages since I was in one. -

I didnt attack you, I literally corrected your post with the appropriate ethical reasoning flaws and accounting of fact for your fantasy theories. Its extreamly credible..... you see the things you wrote attempting to "clarify the big picture" are not based in fact but, conspiracy, fantasy, and out of spite. That is wrong. You are wrong. You tend to be one of these kids who argues with the teacher about your grade, never understanding that the answer you provided was wrong, the thinking that went into the answer was flawed and the conclusions are not supported in fact or data. I will always call you out when you flat out write BS. I dont think you will learn, but I feel as if I owe it to you to try and help. And the community as a whole needs to be aware of the levels of crazy you try to preach -

You are delusional. All of your scenerios are built on multiple assumptions built into a generalized "what if". Its rediculous, it shows poor analytical reasoning skills, and worse yet it irresponsibly mis-informs people who would believe your rambling bull$%!# is based in knowledge instead of your own manufactued hopes and dreams. I have corrected your manifesto for ethical reasoning and to call oit your BS and flawed thought process. You do more damage to University of North Dakota Athletics than any deal ever could.
