Free throws didn't bug me as much as the turnovers did. Webb was a mess. And in ot I think we had 4 turnovers??? And we were doing it to ourselves. It wasn't NAU making the plays.

The foul thing is a knock hanging with him. I haven't seen that from him recently. Thursday's game was two phantom calls against him. Sac St big guy kept falling and so refs would blow whistle. And with Brekke's offense we destroy UNA.

They were in a 3-2 zone for the second half and we couldn't figure it out. Need to got high low post against that, but instead we had four guys on 3 line that their 3 guys were able to defend. I was really surprised that we didn't play our size more. We essentially went 4 guard lineup even though we had the height advantage with Allard and Archer on the bench.

At that game and was saying the same thing. Even if they get the rebound we still have two guys back to their one.

One of the better attended games was when all the summer camp kids got to go to a game for free. And this means a parent bought a seat. Needs to happen more than once a season.

Went to the get together at the Alerus. First time. Was hoping for a few more people, but the food was very nice to have and listening to each coach talk about their position group signees was nice. How did this year compare to others (mainly attendance)? I was saving watching many of the recruit films until tonight. Wow did we get a lot of size. I was very impressed with the safeties. Forgive me I'm not good with the names, but the Illinois one was one heavy hitter. That just seems like something you can't teach/coach. Also that Cheatom didn't have the height, but dang could he move guys. And the comment that Breitbach (?) made was that one of the two dl would be playing right away. Also sounds like that Cox was originally lower on our board, but with losing the recruit to Northern Illinois he was pleasant addition this morning. So maybe we called him back after losing the recruit or maybe we just got lucky??? Also JJ Robertson is already showing he is a beast and one of the strongest in weight room.

Friday night reminded me of Parise against UAA with players draped all over him and no call ever happening because he wouldn't go down.

The problem with officiating is you have to embellish to get the call. It's no different in basketball. The other night Weber State was in town and much bigger. When they were on offense the post would have ball and just back the UND d until he was under basket and couldn't do anything. Should've been offensive. Never got called until a UND defender fell. In Friday's game when Grimaldi finally went off and started fighting the UW player did he go down to the ice either time when the uw player was holding him? I want to say he did and got right back up, but obviously the refs didn't want to call either of those infractions. Definitely a different officiated game Saturday compared to Friday.

I finally have Thursday evening with no work commitments so I'll be heading to the game with two others. I'm hoping it's a close game and not the beat down we took earlier.

Big schools in Twin Cities area have what's called adaptive sports for disabled. Soccer and floor hockey were big at the school I worked at. Up here there aren't even enough kids to allow something like this. If they are talking inclusion on an established school team...well the older you get the more difficult and dangerous that could become depending on the disability. I really don't see how it's feasible and there are programs out there for these kids to enjoy athletics, but they aren't associated with schools.

*couch* 48 games I'm also seeing some stuff that Ovechkin is just not the same player. How long can Caps wait for him? Also interesting take I saw on Nail Yakapov's celebration was that Cherry will rip it and when he did that to Ovechkin is when Ovi started sliding. I don't necessarily buy it, but I'm sure players don't take kindly to the over the top celebrations.

Not sure when it truly started but I know the cheerleaders were doing it back in the 90s. For some reason it's caught on the last few years.

Seems WCHA is voting on whether or not to add Alabama-Huntsville next week. Fate of UAH Hockey I sure hope they do.
