University of North Dakota Hockey 2016 - 2017 Season

I assume you are talking about Jim, Jack and Johnnie? Those are some loud voices to compete with -
Big news! They will maintain all sports programs and fire the ROTC hating English professor. Bring your own tar and feathers!

No doubt it was smart for LJ to comeback this year. Definitely rounded out his game nicely. Couldn't even count how many shots he whiffed on last year. Much better play this year. also a kid who's play doesn't always translate to the stat sheet. I definitely liked having LJ on the ice much more this year.
-
Really hope Cam ends up sticking around too. For not really knowing much about the kid when he was stuck behind Zano, I've really enjoyed watching him this year. Kids always looks calm, cool and like he is just out there having fun. Of course, it is easy to looking like you are having fun when all you do is win
-
Heard this as well. He should stick around for another year. Would be very beneficial for him.
-
haha, cuz we're all so pumped for next season!!!
-
Thats what I thought. In fact there were some games, where people on here were calling for him to get benched because of way too many costly errors.
-
I believe it was said Poolman was 50/50
-
Bummer about LJ, he would be a very important guy to have next year. Though as much as I have ragged on him at times in the past, he has really shown a lot of improvement. Best of luck to the kid. As for the other guys, Schmaltz is the biggest one I want to keep. Could have a monster year next year. Thompson is a guy who would probably benefit from another year. I def don't see Poolman staying more than 1 more year, if that. Hope he wants to play with his brother bad enough. Cam has shown how good he can be. Could be a Mike Richter winner if he stays, and potentially a back to back Nat'l Champ. If he goes, then its Tomek Time!
-
This is all speculation I assume?
-
Good to know, I didn't realize that. I really only went on there to talk about the game last fall, but it didn't go so well. Probably won't re-visit until the next time we play, and we'll see if it changes at all.
-
Not that I know of, More some of what he has said in the past.
-
^This ... and yeah Red did not impress me with how he handled some of his guys leaving.
-
I don't have an issue going on BV; I went on there before the Sioux/Bison game this past fall, but they can be ruthless. You can't even compliment their team or success without getting chewed out. Its not everyone, but the vast majority.

Does anyone know when they come out with the full schedule for next season? -

I expect Wilkie to take a big step forward next year. -
Ben Blood always said that too.
-
No, but hindsight is 20/20. Easy to say you wish you would have stayed after you made the big money. Not sure I've ever heard Toews say he wished he would have come back. Any I think some of these guys still appreciate the time they had here, even if they did leave at the right time.
-
Good to know, not sure how I missed that.
-
So will he be considered a Sophomore when he actually starts playing?
-
Hard to keep all of these guys straight, there is just so much talent. It would be nice if we could have a list on one of the blogs of committed recruits, and potential year of arrival (if there isn't already one), similar to what SFI does for football on the sidebar.
-
Whenever he makes the announcement on twitter, I'm sure he will get overwhelming support from the fans. I don't think anyone will be mad that he is leaving, especially after how he has contributed here. There may be some that are disappointed, because they want to see him back in green and playing for another year, but even those people should be happy for him.

It's tough, but we'll earned.

I don't think this would happen at many other schools. The culture and family this program has developed is truly unmatched. Speaker volumes about the coaches we have had, the players they recruit, and how they go about their business. Go Sioux! Could not be more proud to be a part of the family.
