Hey all, do players report to camp today or end of the week? I know there have been so many rumors about Grady being there or leaving. Tired of people opinions, guesses, having sources .... I just want to know if the kid actually shows or not.

Yeah, I hadn't read the depression piece until after my last post. I do wish the kid the best, hopefully he finds the right way to cope with it. I still hope he can stay, but if not ... best of luck to him, as long as he isn't at NDSU

Personally I love what Bubba is doing here. Will Grady be back, will he not. Oh he's back on the roster ... Now he is gone! Guy is a genius, he has the whole Big Sky guessing and confused. What a mastermind! Seriously though, losing Grady blows, but if he can't be committed after multiple chances .... the goodbye. I personally hopes he figures it out, sounds like he has had a rough time, but to be on the team you still need to be committed. Good luck to the kid, whether it is in a UND uniform or not.

I was really hoping Grady was going to come back and be all in. If this is really the guy's attitude or motivation level, then I'd prefer to move forward without him (though I don't know the whole story here). Seems like an awful waste of talent and potential for a kid who may have a tough few year in college with a kid, but could then afford to give his family a pretty comfortable life. Legit NFL potential, and football aside, a good education. Hard to understand for sure, but like I said I don't know the whole story either.

Hope this isn't true. For now, I'll put my faith in the coaches that put him back on the roster. Can't imagine they would do that if there wasn't some sort of understanding in place, and if Grady were to flake out after being given a second chance, then it truly would be time to move on. Hope that is not that case though.

seriously guys, let it go. I don't think anyone was saying it absolutely shouldn't be backwards on the helmet .... there's just some differences in personal preference. Not a huge deal.

not sure why, but theirs kind of makes me think of the partridge family birds from the beginning of the show. I don't think they actually look anything alike, but for some reason it reminds me of that. Can't wait for that game.

Looking at these just reaffirms to me that we should use the number on one side of the helmet. No because the logo looks bad, it actually looks fairly sharp on the helmets; but it does bother me to see the bird facing the back of the helmet. probably just my OCD.

While I understand that they are losing the interlocking logo, so they can get everyone onboard with the new logo (even though I'm not a fan of that approach), I do hope that eventually they bring back the ND logo, even if it just for a throwback uniform once a year. I understand the branding concerns and confusion with Notre Dame, but its still a cool logo, we did have it for a very long time, and it looks great on football helmets.

who cares ... we now have some gray uniforms that look cool. Whether they are throwback or not is irrelevant. If incoming players like them .... good. If some fans want to consider them nostalgic ... good. Doesn't matter. Just win on the field!

Not sure, there may have been a few games on FCS this past season (can't remember), but definitely not as many as their used to be. I'm not sure there was a game on tv in the cities the whole first half of the season. Could have had something to do with contract dates and when they could start broadcasting outside of CBS. Hopeful that they can make progress for football too. Last season the Drake game was on FCS and it was much more enjoyable since you didn't have to worry about buffering issues.

I think you are correct, that they are holding off the announcement that gray helmets will be used. Not sure I like the idea of all grey, unles there are enough green accents used. but maybe gray pants and helmets and green jerseys? I think some sort of combo would be cool. Maybe it wouldn't looks as good as I'm thinking. Regardless, the new gray apparel will be a cool addition.

Would be great if that happened.

Then Denver will implement a new ticket policy that you need to purchase tickets for the Miami and W Mich games for the next 6 seasons if you want the tickets for the game you actually care about.

I have brought up this issue with hockey in other threads, but I figured it was worth discussing on the football side. I know with hockey there are some restrictions on broadcasting games ... not sure if that is a midco thing or a CBS Sports thing, but hopefully UND can figure it out. NCHC TV is ok, but I miss the days of seeing all the home games on Fox College Sports. It was nice to not have to worry about buffering issues, or having to connect my pc to my tv. As for football, I believe there are restrictions with the Big Sky broadcasting outside of Roots sports, which is especially ridiculous as many people in the midwest don't get Root Sports, and UND is rarely on there anywhere. Hopefully this is something Faison or the BSC is trying to negotiate. I would love to see UND get some more football games on Fox College Sports to get some national exposure. I know Bemidji gets a lot of their hockey games broadcast on TPT MN, which I believe is a public access channel. I'd be interested to know if UND could ever use that as an option to get a little more exposure in MN ... wouldn't hurt for recruiting or alumni engagement. Big Sky TV works well, but is never ideal for the reasons previously mentioned. Hopefully this is something that UND is working on because accessibility to games and exposure would certainly be a great thing for the program. Thoughts? Rumors? Anything?

Love this! Very fun to see who the future of the program will be. I really liked what I saw from Bungum, and hopefully Boltmann can come in Redshirt for a year, and be capable to takeover as a RS Freshman (depending on how our other QBs develop). Remember, if not for injuries Keaton would have only been a RS Freshman last year, and showed that he was more than capable of leading a team. What do we know about Connor Kruse? I like his size for a kid who is going into his senior year. I expect him to be on campus next summer at over 300, and to put another 10-20 lbs on while redshirting. Thoughts on this guy?

Agreed, I liked the all green. I also like the grey helmets. I'm not a huge fan of black uniforms, but black helmets would not be bad if used with the right combo of pants and jerseys. White would also be a cool option.
