Still hate the name, probably never going to love it, or the logos. BUT I could live with either of these. They're not too bad. Although I don't see them landing on the hockey jersey's I think they will stick with the North Dakota or ND, which is fine. The first concept logo, actually looks pretty decent on the football helmet.

Hard nosed I'm fine with. Playing the body over the puck in the right situation I'm fine with. Putting your stick into a guys back near the boards isn't a smart play. Especially the way the league has cracked down on CFB is just not smart. Potentially save your team one night, just to risk them by being suspended. I'm also not trying to bash on Stecher here. Its not like he is out there taking bad penalties on a frequent basis, which made it all the more surprising. Hate losing him, but we have enough depth that we should be fine. I'm more concerned about seeing our guys get the scoring touch back.

I'm not going to completely bash the official for the Stecher call. It was a stupid hit to make, at a very stupid time to make it. Particularly for a guy who typically doesn't make that kind of play. It certainly wasn't a huge (Paukovich/Bina) type hit from behind, but it was definitely into the back and close enough to the boards to make it a borderline suspension call. If the roles were reversed, at least half of the posters on here would have been calling for an immediate suspension. I hate losing stecher, but I can certainly understand the call. We certainly aren't the first team to get the wrong side of a borderline call. Duluth fans were up in arms about the OT penalty shot on Friday, and I have to agree with them. Again, if the roles were reversed, I would have been irate about that being a penalty shot. It was a trip, but I don't think it was worthy of a penalty shot. Nevertheless, the teams and players need to make the most of opportunities regardless of the call, which Pogo did. As for this weekend ... next man up.

Depending on where you are, there may be a bar that has the game. Though, drinking and eating at a bar, will be more expensive than 17.50.

Obviously we just need to take care of business and control what we can control by winning. But it would do a lot for to SCSU get some losses. UND will also need to make some noise in the NCHC playoffs. Right not it is looking very difficult for us to overtake SCSU in the pairwise, which could have some seeding implications when it comes to playing in St. Paul. Unless, the NCAA is smart enough to realize that North Dakota would sell out the X, and SCSU won't; but considering they still think that having regionals in places like Cinicinatti is a good idea, I won't get my hopes up. I can't imagine the whining we would hear from Husky fans, if they edged us in the pairwise, and didn't go to St Paul.

Agreed, but how much can ya blame jones. These players have shown they csn get it done. They have made the free throws in other games. Players have to be accountable here.

That 5th goal for.DU was.terrible. nice job by DU to capitalize, but we just looked lazy. PrettY f-ING pathetic. Better get the win tomorrow night, or plan on.playing outside of St paul. Not sure.we can make that regional without some major help at this point.

It was really bad. I know some people have speculated that he starts to try to win the tip, but he can't even do that. I think he is just too slow. Then he had 2 fouls about 2 minutes into the game and went to the bench. Came back on the court a little later for about a minute and took another foul. You can see just how much the kid is struggling by the look on his face. I feel bad for him because he looks so frustrated out there, but I think he is a kid who probably had a lot of success because of his height, and now can't keep up with the speed of the game.

Am I missing something there? What is hockey only about that?

Actually impressed we only lost by 10 with how we played. If not for ewu raining 3s early we might have taken that one. Not a great loss, but if we beat idaho, it'll be an ok trip. EWU blog is talking about running the table which I dont see happening either. At this point we need to get some wins and go into reno hot.

Seriously, can we get rid of shanks. He really has done nothing of value. Every time he touchest the ball there is a mistake or a bad play. He seems way to slow to play at this level.
