  1. One only has to read Adam's non hockey tweets to see what kind of a person he is.
  2. I would hope this is a quick case and he gets stuck with UND's lawyer costs as well.
  3. Schuldt staying would be a little surprising as he turns 23 in May. He is in a situation where he probably has offers from half the league or better and if he has a good senior season and avoids injury that won't change. His brother plays for the Force and has committed to playing for UNO next year. Jackson isn't even 21 yet so he should be back as an undrafted free agent. Ryan Poehling will probably be back for his Junior season as he is only 19 and I believe he had accelerated his learning to arrive a year early. New coach in St. Cloud could walk into a pretty good set-up for next year.
  4. True. Plus the Elite League season helps quite a bit. Minnesota State Hockey tournament is one of if not the best High School tournament in the U.S. But, something to be said for playing against older competition and being at the front of the line for international competitions as well.
  5. Jeff Cox‏ @JeffCoxSports Follow Follow @JeffCoxSports More Best pro prospect who didn’t get NTDP offer out of camp was North Dakota commit Jackson Kunz. A USHL team is going to be very lucky to scoop up the power forward.
  6. Jeff Cox‏ @JeffCoxSports Follow Follow @JeffCoxSports More The top player at NTDP Evaluation Camp and the clear front runner for top NHL prospect in this age group is North Dakota commit Tyler Kleven, a left-shot D from Fargo Davies HS.
  7. I would be a little surprised by that but you never know? The games they play there are a lot of 1 on 1 hockey as they don't have any systems out in and that helps the smaller, quicker forwards stand out a little.
  8. 16. Denver--can't have Denver get to 9 ahead of us 15. Michigan--can't get to 10 ahead of us 14. Ohio St.--nah 13. Notre Dame--boring 12. BU--not as bad as BC, but still bitter about last year 11. Northeastern--fun to watch but my anti-eastern bias shows 10. Providence--you just got one and I was there cheering for you 9. Penn State--fun team to watch but I might have a little anti B10 bias? 8. Clarkson--kind of cool to pull a double...but their colors are heinous 7. Princeton--Haven't seen them this year but playing well right now. the ECAC has had enough success lately 6. UMD--tough one, want to cheer conference mate and Sandelin but tough to cheer a dirty diving squad 5. Michigan Tech--great for hockey if they win 4. Air Force--tough to go against Serratore 3. Minnesota St.-Mankato--why not, future conference mate? 2. SCSU--not sure why so many are anti St. Cloud. They are fun to watch and it might take the chip off their shoulder if they got one. 1. Cornell--old softball teammate and friend's kid plays for Cornell....great job this season by the Fargo media of picking up on this.
  9. Yes this is correct. He was able to sign before the lockout(not a strike) and have his first year of contract counted. According to those in the know, he regretted his decision after the fact even though financially it was the best move for him.
  10. Donato skipped Bruins practice yesterday so he could go to class at Harvard.
  11. He basically got $185k when he signed and then his salary is pro-rated depending on where he plays his game and his per diem depends on which roster he is active on. He will make a little over 10k per NHL game played plus about $105/day when traveling with the NHL club.
  12. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jp7-5gbtfOY and not a single pull up was done that day my friends
  13. True.....but with the outgoing coach being the biggest vocal opponent of the Gentlemen's Agreement regarding verbal agreements I would hope that our coaches are reaching out to any unsigned kids we were previously interested in. Can contact between now and April 4 and again after April 12.
  14. If I remember, Bowen played quite a few games at Defense in juniors. Yon was a scorer in high school...not so much in Juniors but he has good speed and the ability to take away time and space. Neither guy was recruited to fill a top 6 forward slot.
  15. That is what happens when you are a Russian Bot
  16. Not to mention that it was the first time since 2003 that the #14 team in the pairwise didn't make the tourney.
  17. Well, with Air Force in Sioux Falls the press conferences will be entertaining!
  18. If a Player drafted at age 20 or older is a bona fide college student at the time of his selection or becomes a bona fide college student while his drafting Club retains exclusive rights, then his drafting Club shall retain those rights until the later of: (a) the second June 1 following the date of his selection, or (b) thirty (30) days after NHL Central Registry receives notice that the Player is no longer a bona fide college student; provided that if the Player: (1) is in his fourth year of college and has commenced his fourth year of NCAA eligibility and the Player ceases to be a bona fide college student on or after January 1 of an academic year, or (2) is in his fourth year of college, is scheduled to graduate from college at the end of his fourth year and the Player ceases to be a bona fide college student on or after January 1 of an academic year, or (3) remains a bona fide college student through the graduation of his college class, then in the circumstances described in (1) or (2) or (3), the Club shall retain the exclusive right of negotiation for such Player's services through and including August 15 of that calendar year.
  19. I hope they both stay but I think they can both become free agents this summer. I believe Wolanin wasn't drafted until 2015 when he was 20 years old. Gersich is younger but was drafted a year earlier.
  20. I have heard he will wait until July 1(I think that is the date) and declare himself a free agent.
  21. Pretty sure this is why we brought in a firm specializing in Title 9 compliance ahead of time.
  22. Wow. haven't read article but that has to be 30-35 years of pay for that job?
  23. Fargo finally got the state to allow them to have a AA bantam program which will help the top end kids by allowing them to play against better competition. Last year was the first season for Fargo at that level and it just worked out that all but 1 or 2 kids that made that team are Davies kids. If each high school had the numbers to support a Bantam team at that level that would be great. The biggest thing Moorhead has going for it is culture and having the High School coaches being involved and sharing their philosophies and what they expect for style of play, systems, power play, etc. certainly helps. Lets just say the High School coaches in Fargo are involved in the youth program at varying levels of interest and influence. Competing against the best is definitely the best case scenario for your top end players but with a goal of being competitive and also of player development in youth hockey and kids growing and developing at different rates it is not always the worst case for a kid who might be good enough to make the first team and play a limited role to maybe develop leadership qualities and be allowed to get more ice time and be a key player in different situations for the 2nd team...and this isn't just true in the youth levels. Example--I won't use his name but I know a kid who had a pretty good high school career in Minnesota and tried out for the USHL and was told they wanted to keep him on the team. He would have been their 7th defenseman to start the year. He also had tried out for and been offered a spot on an NAHL team which he ended up taking for his first year of juniors where he was on their top pair of D and was key to their power play and penalty kill. It allowed him to develop and become a leader and he played in the USHL the following year and then accepted 1 of the several offers he received to play College Hockey. I don't disagree with the desire and ideal situation of having a feeder program for each school but then it is a catch 22 where your best players may not be challenged by playing below their compete level. Agree. The objective should be to do both but that is a tough objective to meet.
  24. Nah. you brought it up. Who is leaving because of Kennedy from the Law School? Who is leaving because of Kennedy from the Aviation department? Who is leaving because of Kennedy from the Psychology department? Thanks is advance.
