It can't be any worse than what they have been putting in goal lately but does seem like a desperate move by a team in a desperate spot. Dubnyk has played on some real bad teams will be interesting to see how he performs if the team in front of him starts playing the way they are capable of.

Fletcher makes a move for a goalie giving up a 3rd round pick for Devan Dubnyk from Arizona. Hope he can get to Buffalo in time to start tomorrow but I'd guess they have him just go straight to St.Paul instead for Saturday's game.

Saw this on kroxam.com Sports FeeVer looks like there is at least some interest in Warroad SR defenseman Luke Jaycox. "Another note on the Warroad win for Crookston, the Warriors top two players did not play in the game, the talented winger Kobe Roth and very, very talented defenseman Luke Jaycox. We would have liked to see them in the game and some people will say it’s the reason Crookston won, but you play with who you have and the Pirates had a little more on Saturday. Roth is out with a severe high ankle sprain he reinjured in the Roseau game last Thursday. Jaycox is out with a broken jaw which he suffered on December 29 in their first holiday tournament game against Grafton (N.D.). He was going down to block a shot, turned his head slightly and the puck went just under the face mask and struck his jaw. When Jaycox was getting his jaw wired, they decided to x-ray his wrist which he was having some problems with and found out he had been playing for quite a time with a broken wrist!!! Roth is out for a little bit and I thought I heard February on Jaycox’s return. Roth is going to Minnesota-Duluth while Jaycox is using the time off to do some more college visiting and we hear he is making a second visit to the University of North Dakota, has visited Minnesota-Duluth and has had conversations with Cornell University."

Agreed especially when the team at #2 BU tied Wisconsin this past weekend.
-
I'll say under he will be gone after an ugly loss to Pittsburgh tomorrow night. Roenick was pretty much calling for a change in the postgame on NBCSN last night and I would agree you gotta make some kind of change while you still have a chance to save the season.

Indy wins 24-13 hopefully they can keep it going they're the only team left in it that I don't hate.

A couple of the recent commits are at least a couple years away and really don't impact guys like Boeser, Matthews, and Tkachuck at all as they would definitely come in next season. Looking at 2016 when Jost and Fabbro would come in we would definitely have some room for them as well and may even have a few more spots open if there are some early departures that year. These are the type of guys you recruit as hard as you can and if they decide they want to come to UND whether you have room or not you make it work. You also never know how exactly things could play out a guy like Murphy who has struggled to see the ice may end up deciding to transfer. A guy like Cakebread who is really struggling in juniors could end up never making it to campus as has happened in the past with Rowe and Danny Mattson. I'm not saying Murphy will transfer and Cakebread won't end up on campus I'm just saying you just never know how things can play out with the roster situation.

Indy leading Denver 21-10 heading to the 4th but the Broncos are driving after picking up a big 4th&1 thanks to Andersen breaking 3 tackles.

The Cowboys now know how the Lions felt last week it sure looked like Dez had control and took 3 steps. I think this is more a bad rule than bad call the whole completing the full process thing is stupid just like it was when it took away a TD from Calvin Johnson against Chicago years back.

Here is a link to his Twitter feed lots of complaining tonight for some reason haha. https://twitter.com/UmdPenaltyBox/with_replies

Solid bounce back performance tonight with a lot of guys stepping up their game tonight. Duluth always plays a chippy game and I was glad to see the guys respond to it and take care of it themselves rather than hoping Anderson and Shep would actually take control of the game because that never happens. I'm pretty sure the Sioux bench had been all over them about all the embellishment that Duluth does and was glad to see they called one on the Pattyn punch but there where many more cases of it like when Decowski seemed to go down real easy when Zane gave him a shot to draw a penalty. Saw a few guys limping from slashes and know Parks left and later returned with a lower body injury but hopefully we didn't suffer anymore injuries and can get some guys healthy throughout the week.

Looks like Janatuinen has 12 goals and 17 assists in 29 games for Sioux City this year and since he will turn 20 in February guessing he will come in next year. Keane will turn 18 in April so I wouldn't be surprised if he plays another year of juniors before coming in. I also like that the last 2 Canadian recruits both have played with and have some ties to Fabbro and Jost hopefully they can do some recruiting of their own for UND.

It was like every time there was a faceoff the linesmen tried to make it a show and make sure everyone noticed them. There was one faceoff where I believe the linesman held the puck for almost a full minute before actually dropping it. I hope we don't have to see that show again tonight from the linesman just get the centers in and set and drop the puck right away.
-
Kind of a lackluster performance tonight. Too much coasting and sloppy passing tonight lead to a lot of turnovers. I thought the reffing was really bad tonight Duluth got away with a lot of holding and hooking but I guess I shouldn't have expected something different with Anderson and Shepherd in charge. Zane was very good tonight and really gave us a chance to steal a win in the 3rd after a lot of standing around in the 2nd by most of our guys. Looking to tomorrow night I think we see Poolman up front and Murphy out of the lineup with Panzarella inserted into the lineup. I think we need to get more pucks to the net to really test the UMD goalie and crash hard as he really looked uncomfortable when guys went to the net and wanted to sell a call anytime somebody got close to him. I think we see a much better effort tomorrow night and come away with the win.
-
I agree with you Rau got drilled from behind and I didn't think he really sold it at all. He bounced right back up and checked for blood on his face and looked like he was trying to shake it off it was an easy major call.

OD-MacMillan-Parks Chyzk-Caggiula-Schmaltz Pattyn-Johnson-Poganski Simonson-Gaarder-Murphy Mattson-LaDue Ausmus-Schmaltz Thompson-Poolman McIntyre Johnson Hrynkiw I like the line combos tonight I think Chyzk could be a real nice fit with Caggiula and Schmaltz.

I believe Adidas did buy Reebok and looking I now see Wisconsin who is another Adidas school looks to be wearing Reebok jerseys this year for hockey so I would guess nothing will change with the hockey uniforms.
-
I am a big Nike guy and much prefer their products to Adidas or Under Armour but I think this deal probably needs to get done. I do hope that hockey is still able to wear Reebok jerseys and doesn't have to switch to Addidas if the deal does go through.

Michael RussoVerified account @Russostrib 12h12 hours ago #mnwild now has allowed a league-low 26.8 shots per game with a 29th-ranked .893 save percentage Pretty telling stat about how bad the goaltending has been for the Wild.
-
Final 4-2 Chicago Crawford with 42 saves Backstrom with 16.
-
Sounds like they've been talking to Carolina about Cam Ward but they better pick up the pace on those talks because they need a goalie real quick. The former Gopher Schroeder has had a nice game but hasn't been able to finish he might earn himself a chance to stay up with the big club.
-
So with Olson and St.Clair out up front the options are put in Murphy or Sanderson or move Poolman to forward this weekend and play both Mattson and Panzarella. I like the way Poolman has played when he has had to play up front but I'm not sure Panzarella is a real great matchup with Duluth's speed so it will be interesting to see which option Hak decides to go with on Friday night.

Minnesota's returning RB's are Rodrick Williams(SR), Jacob Kirsch(RsJR), Berkley Edwards(RsSO), Josh Parks(RsFR), Rodney Smith(RsFR), Jeff Jones(RsFR). Edwards, Jones, Smith, and Williams all should get decent carries and the only two I could really see transferring are Kirsch and Parks. Both of them are walk-ons and neither of them played at all this year although Kirsch has played 2 years of JC at Rochester.
