Andy Strickland @andystrickland · 6h 6 hours ago Matthew Tkachuk has decomitted from the University of Notre Dame. London #Knights own his #OHL rights. 2016 #NHL draft eligible #usntdp Would guess he ends up in the OHL but if he is still interested in the college route he would be a nice addition.

While I wouldn't be surprised at all to see Minnesota win this weekend Vegas has the Huskers as 10 point favorites right now.

Yeah a conference with 5 teams in the playoff committee's top 25 is absolutely horrible maybe the Big 10 should just disband. I'm looking forward to some Big 10 vs. SEC bowl matchups this year and think the Big 10 is in a lot better shape heading into those matchups than the past couple years.
-
I agree we don't and that is perfectly fine. Barrett is very good with his legs and has good speed but strength to go with it and I think that creates opportunities for him in the passing game especially big plays. I do think the best way to limit Ohio State's offense is to load up on the run and try to make Barrett a pocket passer but I've also seen him make some big plays that way too.
-
How much Big 10 football have you watched? JT Barrett is a legit Heisman contender for a reason and it isn't because he can't throw. The post I responded to said the top 7 teams in each conference so I just looked at the top 7 for matchups and had to decide whether to put A&M in or LSU or Florida and Maryland or Michigan. I can't see Arkansas, Kentucky, South Carolina, and LSU beating many of the top 5 in the B1G and yes LSU beat Wisconsin because Wisconsin blew the game and watching both teams the last couple weeks LSU looks like pretty much the same team while Wisconsin looks much improved as for my opinion on the 7 matchups: Alabama vs. Ohio State: Kind of a toss up but I would probably pick Alabama in a close game Miss State vs. Michigan State: I'd go with Michigan State I'm not sold on Miss State at all Ole Miss vs. Wisconsin: Another toss up Ole Miss D is very solid but Wallace can be up and down and the loss of Treadwell hurts Georgia vs. Nebraska: Probably a shootout both teams D are very inconsistent I'd take Georgia Missouri vs. Minnesota: I'd take the Gophers by about a TD Auburn vs. Iowa: Auburn just because Iowa has been inconsistent and had some trouble with speed stuff and outside running A&M vs. Maryland: Toss up A&M's defense is horrible and Maryland is an inconsistent team.

If you have watched recently a lot of analysts have started to say they made a mistake by judging the Big 10 to be horrible after 1 week of play and it is a lot stronger than they thought. The Big 10 does have 5 teams still ranked in the top 25 according to the playoff committee. I watch almost every Gopher game the loss at Illinois was just a horribly played game with a bunch unforced miscues and guys sick and throwing up on the sideline but they still should have won that game and would have if not for a late fumble inside their own 20 that Illinois was able to scoop up and score on.
-
If we took the top 7 from the B1G and top 7 from the SEC we would have something like: Alabama vs. Ohio State Miss State vs. Michigan State Ole Miss vs. Wisconsin Georgia vs. Nebraska Missouri vs. Minnesota Auburn vs. Iowa Texas A&M vs. Maryland I would give the B1G teams a decent chance to win 3 or 4 of those matchups.

I think Teddy has been solid especially considering the way players around him are playing. The Vikings running game has been up and down all year, WRs really struggle to get open at all and the WR who has been able to win on his routes the most lately is a guy they brought in off the street a few weeks into the season, and their OL has been pretty bad all year with Kalil especially getting beat regularly and quickly not allowing you too many chances to throw the ball down the field. He did make a bad decision on the interception at the end of the game last week and admitted as much but also said with the clocks not working he wasn't sure how much time was left so I'm thinking that may have had something to do with him forcing that throw. The defense was more disappointing to me Sunday because they weren't able to get to Cutler very much and allowed a Bears team that had been struggling to run the ball run for like 150yds. Blanton and Robinson were absolutely horrible for the Vikes and have been most of the year with where the Vikes are at I would like to see those 2 replaced by a couple younger options like Exum and Price just to at least get a consistent look at them and see whether they can be a solution to the problem.

I don't care at all about whether they are full D1 or not or what kind of university they are all I look at is what they are going to add as a hockey program to the conference and I see schools like Ferris State, Mankato, or Michigan Tech adding a lot more however those are 3 of the strongest teams in the WCHA and I would still like to see the WCHA have some successful teams as well so I definitely wouldn't be in favor of adding more than 1 of those teams.
-
I would rather see someone like Mankato or Michigan Tech in the NCHC over Bowling Green I don't care if they fit the profile or not.
-
The fine would make the 9 games he already has missed an actual suspension without pay and the only one who knows if he actually learns anything from this is him.

It does show up on my guide on FCSA for Saturday and I'm in Northern Minnesota but not until 8:30 and it doesn't say if it is live so it could just be a replay of Friday night.
-
I don't see it hurting UND too much if at all. ASU isn't gonna be able to come and get some kid out of Minnesota that UND is after and that is a prime recruiting area for UND. As for TV appearances UND will still be one of the most televised teams in the nation ASU isn't gonna change that.
-
That is why a lot of people were expecting a fine equaling close to what he had been paid while on the exempt list and then him being eligible to play this week or next week.
-
I wouldn't mind adding Arizona State but I wouldn't really be in favor of adding Bowling Green.

Michigan did do something Missouri couldn't do though and that is beat Indiana at home 34-10.

I really think there might be something to that I have heard a couple different NFL writers on radio shows this morning say that and that is why a couple think they need to just have a third party handle all NFL discipline decisions going forward.
-
There is no arguing that AP put himself in this situation by going overboard punishing his son but that doesn't mean that Goodell should be able to just make things up as he goes along when determining punishment and imo. 15 games is way too much of a penalty. I think AP has been working on himself as I believe he has been seeing a psychologist and has said he has learned different ways to discipline his child but I do think it would have helped AP if he would have shown more remorse publicly like after the plea deal on the court steps he could have had a big remorseful apology in front of all the media.
-
Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.Com was just on KFAN and he said the NFL didn't want AP to play again this year no matter what and when the plea deal came they were surprised and had to find a way to keep him off the field. He said the punishment of 15 games for a misdemeanor definitely doesn't fit the crime and this is just another inconsistency with how the NFL handles things. I really think Goodell has just opened himself up to more criticism here of whether he is capable of actual doing the job and think the NFLPA may push hard for a change in the offseason. He also said in a league that strives for competitive balance so much the NFL has basically taken the Vikings season and thrown it away with how they have handled the situation. The league office just doesn't know how to make a set of rules for disciplining players and how to follow them.
-
I have seen a lot of other opinions today that very much disagree with the suspension. I know what AP did was wrong but suspending him for what basically amounts to a whole season is crazy to me and I agree with the NFLPA guy that the NFL is just making it up as they go along.
-
Wow very surprised to see Peterson suspended at least the rest of the season I thought he would just be paying a fine. I think Goodell is gonna be under fire for this decision especially from players. Looks like Peterson will appeal the suspension as he should and the NFLPA has released a statement: NFLPA statement on Adrian Peterson suspension: "The decision by the NFL to suspend Adrian Peterson is another example of the credibility gap that exists between the agreements they make and the actions they take. Since Adrian’s legal matter was adjudicated, the NFL has ignored their obligations and attempted to impose a new and arbitrary disciplinary proceeding. The facts are that Adrian has asked for a meeting with Roger Goodell, the discipline imposed is inconsistent and an NFL executive told Adrian that his time on the Commissioner’s list would be considered as time served. The NFLPA will appeal this suspension and will demand that a neutral arbitrator oversee the appeal. We call on the NFL Management Council to show our players and our sponsors leadership by committing to collective bargaining so a fair personal conduct policy can be implemented as quickly as possible. -- NFL Players Association"

Watching Florida they just aren't very good fundamentally and have way too many missed assignments which is why I definitely can't see them beating Minnesota or Wisconsin who are two pretty fundamentally sound teams. Nebraska is struggling right now and looking at some things from their fans they are waiting for Minnesota to come in this weekend and beat them and they hope that will be the end of Pelini. The LSU and Wisconsin game changed dramatically with the Gordon "injury" if he is fully healthy there is no way they blow that game. Florida's QB is a good athlete but I think you have to dare him to beat you throwing the ball down the field they could keep it close for a while though as FSU hasn't taken control of many games at all in the 1st half.

Tom Novak, Rem Pitlick, and Sam Rossini. Minnesota would be my best guess the one thing I really wouldn't understand would be him re-committing to Wisconsin.
