The point totals for the Luverne are a little inflated because the schedule they play is probably one of the weakest in the state but a lot of that is because of their location in the state.

That could be I still think he is a very nice prospect just didn't really seem to have it today. Watching Hill-Murray and St. Thomas Academy now and it is a pretty good game. Saw Mike Yeo's son Kyler is a Soph. on Hill-Murray #9 and was curious as to how good he is but haven't really noticed him yet.

I thought he looked ok today but he looked much better when I saw him last year so maybe this was just a bad game for him. He really seemed to struggle with the puck and seemed to have trouble staying on his feet.

Hockey Day Minnesota today on FSN the first game gets started at 10:00 and is Luverne vs. St. Paul Johnson. A player to watch is #7 Jaxon Nelson from Luverne the Freshman is a highly touted prospect and was very good when I saw him in the State Tournament last Spring.

Gopher forwards really struggle to pick up guys going to the net the guy that scored Wiscos 2nd goal skated right by 2 Gopher forwards gliding back.

Probably letting him go for the shutout also wouldn't be surprised if they just planned to give Cam the start tomorrow instead.

Really solid game tonight really thought the D combo of Ausmus and Schmaltz played well together and seems like they have got better every game they've played together. The defensemen as a whole are always pretty active but there seemed to be even more of it than usual tonight and a lot of that probably had to do with the opponent but it is very fun to see the skill we have on the backend. Tough break for Zane on the goal to ruin the shutout looked like it really handcuffed him. Wouldn't mind seeing Simonson get in the lineup for Murphy tomorrow night and also wouldn't be surprised if Johnson got the start in net.

When watching his press conference he mentioned how important school was to him and how he needed to graduate before moving on to the NFL and all I could do was think of his "we didn't come here to play school" tweet and laugh.

Cardale Jones announces he will return to Ohio State in a little bit of a surprising move. I wonder if Braxton Miller looks at this and decides to take advantage of the graduate transfer rule and head somewhere else.

Agreed, it seems like Adams from Mattson shows up a lot in the boxscores and Adams is actually their leading scorer with 37 points. Mattson is closely behind him with 35 points while Bischoff is 3rd on the team with 28 points.

I haven't seen Eades play this year but watching him in the state tournament last year he definitely needed to improve his skating/footwork. I thought Poolman was the best defenseman on that team it looks like in 32 games with Fargo this year he has 4 assists and is even. I really like Tweten as well as his teammate Loven and I think they will both end up playing college hockey somewhere but what I've heard is UND wants to see Tweten be more consistent in his game before an offer will come. As for other northern kids to keep an eye on I haven't seen a lot of games this year but I have heard that Bemidji and Grand Rapids both have some pretty talented players coming through a few specifically mentioned to me were Brady Tatro SO. Bemidji, Alex Adams JR., Jonah Bischoff JR., and John Stampohar SO. all from Grand Rapids.

Heard Yeo on the radio a bit ago and he said Dubnyk has arrived in Buffalo and will start tonight.

Lee didn't play for the Sioux he played at St. Cloud State but he is a local guy from Roseau.

It can't be any worse than what they have been putting in goal lately but does seem like a desperate move by a team in a desperate spot. Dubnyk has played on some real bad teams will be interesting to see how he performs if the team in front of him starts playing the way they are capable of.

Fletcher makes a move for a goalie giving up a 3rd round pick for Devan Dubnyk from Arizona. Hope he can get to Buffalo in time to start tomorrow but I'd guess they have him just go straight to St.Paul instead for Saturday's game.

He was going down to block a shot, turned his head slightly and the puck went just under the face mask and struck his jaw. When Jaycox was getting his jaw wired, they decided to x-ray his wrist which he was having some problems with and found out he had been playing for quite a time with a broken wrist!!! Roth is out for a little bit and I thought I heard February on Jaycox’s return. Roth is going to Minnesota-Duluth while Jaycox is using the time off to do some more college visiting and we hear he is making a second visit to the University of North Dakota, has visited Minnesota-Duluth and has had conversations with Cornell University."

I'll say under he will be gone after an ugly loss to Pittsburgh tomorrow night. Roenick was pretty much calling for a change in the postgame on NBCSN last night and I would agree you gotta make some kind of change while you still have a chance to save the season.

Indy wins 24-13 hopefully they can keep it going they're the only team left in it that I don't hate.

A couple of the recent commits are at least a couple years away and really don't impact guys like Boeser, Matthews, and Tkachuck at all as they would definitely come in next season. Looking at 2016 when Jost and Fabbro would come in we would definitely have some room for them as well and may even have a few more spots open if there are some early departures that year. These are the type of guys you recruit as hard as you can and if they decide they want to come to UND whether you have room or not you make it work. You also never know how exactly things could play out a guy like Murphy who has struggled to see the ice may end up deciding to transfer. A guy like Cakebread who is really struggling in juniors could end up never making it to campus as has happened in the past with Rowe and Danny Mattson. I'm not saying Murphy will transfer and Cakebread won't end up on campus I'm just saying you just never know how things can play out with the roster situation.
