    Measure 5

I think the tide really turned on this one and it will fail by a pretty decent margin (10% or so). But I didn't stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night...
  4. I believe they are making sure to be careful with it so she's ready for conference play and doesn't have any setbacks. Could very well be ready before then though.
  5. I'll take the under on that.
  6. Can we just shut this down right now since apparently the FU trolls had nothing better to do but dig back a few weeks to find a new home to infest?
  7. Don't doubt it, was just going off the official game notes released by UND.
  8. Seems like opinions and hypotheticals, not a facts. Good try though.
  9. I didn't even bother since there were tons of great seats available directly from Wisconsin. Was surprised that the price was as low as it was , something like $28/ticket after fees.
  10. Absolutely zero doubt that the ticket prices set by NDSU's athletic department will make this the highest price game on the schedule. Similar to what NDSU did with their basketball tickets this year. Secondary market prices will exceed any other game NDSU has had on their schedule in past. Keep your head in the sand though. There will be lots of fans (NDSU and UND) that will be more than happy to have your tickets for this "non big game". I have a feeling there are going to be more than you think.
  11. The party line has always been the students don't care about the rivalry. Proven false. Verified when FU's homecoming court felt the need to makes a trip up to Grand Forks and it ended with a couple of them being arrested. Again, I look forward to you providing me with something that proves the overwhelming majority don't want the game played.
  12. 1,700+ students responded. 9% don't want to play the game. Unscientific or not, pretty much puts a pretty big dent in your illusion that the majority of NDSU fans don't want to play the game. And it is a lot more than you have to back up your claims.
  13. Have anything actual numbers to back that claim up? Here are the results of poll of NDSU students done in February of this year: Do you think NDSU should play UND in football? 59% - Yes 32% - Indifferent 9% - No
  14. Ever? Or they just haven't since you've been a fan?
  15. Weekly 2 deep changes: Bartels now listed as #1 QB, Jake Hanson #2 Garman listed as #1 back flipping spots with Norberg Cummings no longer listed as #3 NG (still starting at RDE) Domo Blackmon replaces injured Chris Carter at #2 at LCB Josh Seibel replaces Alex Tillman as #2 KR
  16. What does Gene Taylor have to do with this?
  17. Is that why they were practicing in Grand Forks last year practicing?
  18. In that case, you'd think the FU administration would have been giddy about getting such a good deal. Weird how they had to hold a press conference to announce it and they all looked like they would have rather been at a funeral.
  19. He was a PWO and he's a heck of an athlete. Probably could play in multiple spots on the field, but I agree (and apparently the coaching staff does as well) that starting QB isn't one of them.
  20. Is the misspelling an silent fist bump to the %gobc?
  21. I wouldn't either, but he likely came in with knowing that there was a decent chance he wasn't going to play his first 2-3 years with both Mollberg and Bartels on the roster. That hasn't really changed except it looks like he's now going to get some game action this year that wasn't expected. These injuries likely have thrown a serious wrench in the coaches timeline for the QB's going forward but it may end up clearing the picture up in the long run.
  22. If he doesn't pass Mollberg or Bartels on the depth chart next year and isn't going to play, why wouldn't he use a red-shirt year? I believe people are pointing out that if he plays this year, it doesn't mean he only has 3 years left, it means he still has 4 years of eligibility to play 3 more years.
  23. My take: Since he played in competition this year, he will need to get it approved and has to apply for it. He would meet all the criteria to get it if he is unable to return, but the NCAA still needs to grant it. Nothing is guaranteed with those clowns.
  24. I'm assuming that they are assuming Bartels could be out for multiple games if not the rest of them if pulling Studsrud's shirt is being considered at this point. If he's not where they want him to be, he can always redshirt next year. Will be interesting to see if this has any impact on the QB's they are recruiting.
  25. UND did not fund the Betty outside of the land that it sits on. The Ralph and the Betty are both owned by the non-profit "UND Sports Facilities Inc". The balance sheet from the tax return for this entity shows a loan balance of $3.5 million dollars at the end of 2013, which is what remains from what was used to fund the building of the Betty (as a non-profit the tax returns are publicly viewable online). The repayment for that comes out of operations of the two buildings. I've also heard Jody speak and he confirmed this is how it works as well. As previously stated, UND is typically not able to take out loans to fund facilities and would have needed to have all funds in place and then approval from the SBoHE and legislature before beginning the project. They were able to skip that step because of it being built "outside" of UND's overseeing.
