Looks like Brandon Poulin (speedster WR/DB/PR, Winnipeg) and Justice MacNeal (RB, Illinois) both favorited/retweeted that. I see MacNeal is listed as "Interest" on the Wiki but nothing on Poulin.

For those interested, tickets are on sale for the UND/NDSU game on 12/13/14. Saturday game at 7pm at the Scheels Arena.. Also of interest, the tickets cost between $5-10 more than any other game on their schedule, including a M/W double-header against their true "rival" SDSU.

No one has an issue with pranks. If they're hanging a banner or whatever, big deal. But the reports all say they were trying to remove lettering from the sign in the front of the building (see below). That's vandalism and is an actual crime. Too bad you can't see it as such.

So each year is independent of each other and what happened in the past has no bearing on future years so Hak/UND can't be "due" to win one soon yet since Hak hasn't won a championship by now, he clearly won't because that's what the past shows us? I don't agree with either side on this one, but you can't have it both ways. And Hak is in no danger of losing his job.

If UND runs the table (and in the process beats EWU) finishing the season at 8-4 on a 6 game winning streak, I have a hard to seeing them being excluded, especially with the expanded field. I don't think that it happens but we're talking hypotheticals. I think UND probably loses 2 more games this year and finish at 6-6, especially as the lack of depth is going to start to show through as the injuries mount. If they lose one more game, I don't think there is any chance of making it in even if one of those wins is EWU.

Talk about a lucky break for those students. The judge didn't specify that the essay had to have proper grammar and correct spelling. It was nice of him not to make it impossible for them to complete.

They have been and will continue to look into neutral site venues for MBB, WBB and VB but don't believe they will change anything midyear and its not UND specific.

Have they suffered enough yet?

Was on WDAY/Z's 5pm broadcast. Didn't catch the story but Robin Huebner tweeted it was 3 students and they were part of their homecoming court. Haven't seen any details outside of that.

I think he has just gotten a ton more comfortable in front of cameras and the media. Behind closed doors, I believe he is likely very similar.

This really isn't an easy solution. The students tailgating lot is right next to the reserved lot. Changing it you have two options: 1)Reserve the students some spots in the middle of the tailgating lots 2)Let it be first come, first serve Problems with these: 1)I'm next to the student lots, unless its nice out, there isn't a large turnout (going off pass results). You now have big holes spread throughout the main lot that may or may not be filled. 2)Again, as someone who is next to the students, they typically don't show up early and certainly not within a few hours of when the lots open. When they do show up, they will still be in the back. Would changing the rules have some effect on the issues? I'd lean to probably not all that much. Again, tailgating isn't perfect and it definitely isn't an issue that is just the students fault. There are quite a few spots that it seems like people have purchased to have reserved parking or only use for a couple of games. Hopefully the mindset on that will change as the team continues to improve. While it isn't necessarily a fix, I'll second what CMSioux said: If the students walk around, they will be welcomed with food and whatever beverage is legal for them to consume.

So not going to tell people where to find you so they can stop by and be introduced to some of the GOBC or.....?

5,000 for hockey. Heard UND got roughly half of those tickets to distribute. Not sure how many will go on sale as the NCAA will hold back some for the teams that make it and whatever else they deem necessary.

We ended up quite far back in the tailgate lots for various reasons this year but I'm absolutely in favor of the reserved spots. While we are one of the first groups there, it is nice to know our spots will be there for us and for others to know where we will be located when they show up later. I will agree that it is a little frustrating to see a fair amount of empty spots around us, but the weather hasn't been exactly ideal outside of the first game (where the lots were absolutely packed). I will say, despite the cooler weather last week, the lots were much more full than I expected and definitely more people than against Stony Brook, but guessing the small monsoon that came through as the lots were opening deterred people. We are actually right next to the student lot and I'm having a hard time buying that they feel put off to the side especially considering there hasn't been a whole lot of them outside the first game. Not sure what the solution for that would be anyway as their attendance seems to be very much dependent on the weather. If you give them spots in the middle of other groups that are there every week, there could very well be a lot of empty spots a lot of weeks and later in the season. I suppose there isn't a way to reshuffle after each year, to move groups who are consistently there towards the front and those who only show up when it is nice or close to game time closer to the back. Also, I imagine it is frustrating for those that only want to tailgate once or twice a year, but when you have that many people who are willing to commit to a full year, that seems like the group that you want to make those making the commitment happy. There were quite a few years were we just parked in the normal lots and walked around the whole time, visiting with others. And there has been reserved tailgating spots for at least the last 10 years or so if not longer. While tailgating isn't perfect and there is always room for improvement, I would say it is being done fairly well right now.

Not sure. Stats show he's played in 4 games but only has 1 assisted tackle. Don't recall seeing him on the field much this far, hopefully he has something to prove.

2004. It isn't allowed in every lot surrounding the Fargodome but I believe that the ones it isn't allowed in are general admission and mainly just parking anyway.

There is most definitely drinking allowed at NDSU tailgating. Alcohol is only served in the suites once you are inside the Fargodome. While their student section is currently light years ahead of UND's, they too have issues with students leaving games early.

Heard they expect to put up 2-3 trusses up per week and are pushing to have it fully enclosed before the end of 2014.

No one said ranting was unacceptable. But doing so about something that has no basis in reality or any sort of supporting facts and then claiming it is in the sake of so called "vigilance" is tin-foil hat stuff. Also, I don't recall Kupchella ever threatening to abolish the student section. There were possibilities of it being moved and other options being explored but at no point did I ever hear a threat of abolishment. It would have been empty rhetoric as the backlash would have been monumental..

And I'm saying it is not a possibility. The fact that you think that somehow UND would take away all seats from students (who pay a ton for athletics in student fees) to watch other fellow students compete, is ridiculous. Ralph was very adamant about the students having access to good seating. That doesn't mean that they will always have spots where they are (I'm surprised they haven't been moved to one of the ends like many other arenas). The REA would be doing the program, UND and themselves a disservice to not re-evaluate the use of students seating, especially when large chunks aren't being used and there is a demand of people who want to purchase them. At no point will they ever be fully taken away. Side note - You make it sound like the REA would be the ones who get all the money from selling those seats to the highest bidder. Every seat in the REA costs the same regardless of where it is. The difference is the donation that is required to get those seats. UND is the one who gets that money, not the REA. Anyone who paid attention to what has gone on with the Fighting Sioux nickname over the past two decades in no way can claim to be blindsided that it is retired. There has been issues with it forever, it wasn't something that came up out of the blue. Coming up scenarios that have absolutely less than zero basis for being formed is not being vigilant, it is ranting for the sake of ranting.
