Definitely a step in the right direction:

You are mistaken. Garman has been listed as the starter the previous two games though Simmons ended up with more carries both games. Hopefully Shaugabuy has enough of an understanding of pass blocking and other responsibilities for the coaches to give him extended time on Saturday. I'm guessing he does but I can't think of any other reason that the coaching staff hasn't put him out there more.

The quotes from NDSU's coach and players in the article Caillou wrote sure contradict that. Not to mention that beating UND was specifically mentioned as one of their top couple goals for the year in their season preview. #buttsuperbowl You're a special kind of stupid aren't you?

Christmas present for MafiaMan?

Jer Garman listed as the starting RB with Shaugabay as the backup. Casey Young no longer listed on the 2-deep, Dev Ferguson instead listed as the backup at two different WR positions. Shea Walker returns and is listed as backup NG. Cole Reyes not listed at all. Carr and James listed as starters at the safety position.

Not sure anyone counts cross country scores as an actual team sport, but if you really want to, you might want to recheck that women's cross country score.... And I feel pretty confident the overall scoreboard will be even after tonight (using the actual results, not the incorrect ones someone posts on a message board).

Only in the Football forum though.

Why was it that they couldn't win when the playing field was level? NDSU was not at any disadvantage compared to other schools. So why were scholarship limits that applied the same to everybody an excuse only for them?
-
I guess people using the excuse that their team couldn't win because all of the teams had the same number of scholarships (level playing field) has always been a strange argument that I wouldn't personally make.
-
They already implemented it for their games this year. Their OOC game against Montana was $45/35 (sideline/endzone), SDSU and homecoming was $40/30 and the rest of the games at $35/25. Now if what they said in their press conference is true and UND is just another game that will help fill the schedule, I would fully expect price to reflect that and the UND game will be at bottom end of the scale. Wasn't much discussion about the pricing structure though...
-
That the reason that NDSU supposedly couldn't win anymore was because everyone had the same amount of scholarships?
-
Oddly enough, I did all those last weeks and they didn't work. Now today for some reason, it is working. Technology...

You are correct. I meant to type against and not at. On a separate note, the Quote feature finally works on IE for me!!

While all of these are true, you left out that South Carolina absolutely flopped at against A&M and there is no highly ranked match-ups. Everything you stated would completely be overridden in a heartbeat if that was the case. And don't claim sour grapes, the article in the Forum spells out the exact same thing. Fargo has been a nice fallback for them for the second year in a row when there hasn't been a big time game.

Simmons officially listed as out (shoulder). Guessing Shaugs is going to get his chance to shine. Wouldn't be surprised to see a few carries by Sharp either.
-
Taking this with a grain of salt considering the game was at the Betty Engelstad Sioux Center and there are multiple banners with variations of the Sioux logo that are up in the rafters.

I didn't think Mollberg was as big of the issue with the offense as some. He made a few bad throws, but the WR/TE's dropped more than a handful. He threw a nice out to a TE low and away, leading him and in a spot the defender had no chance at it and the TE just dropped it. The deep ball to Walker had some nice touch to drop it over the DB's head, though it could have led him a little more. The protection on the line also isn't helping matters. I'm more concerned about some of the play calling on 3rd down along with the offense as a whole. Whether it was a dropped pass or a bad throw, it wouldn't have mattered about 5 different times because the WR would have still been multiple yards short of getting a first down. Not sure why there aren't more RB's out in the flat or short TE routes. I guess they have needed the RB's to stay in and help with coverage. Would love to see a little FB leak play out to the flat, I know its in the playbook, I saw it at the scrimmage and it went for a TD. Not sure if Simmons is/was still nicked up, but it looks like he has an extra gear but just can't get to it. I think he needs to try to start running a few more people over instead of trying to juke them. Defense had its moments and is definitely much improved. Was not impressed with how UND was gashed up the middle so many times. Their RB was a beast but he still got more than he should have multiple times. Robert Morris was running some weird sets with a strange mix of tackle eligible and WR's ineligible and I thought the defense sorted it out very well. Tillman blowing up the WR as three Robert Morris guys watched was one of the plays of the game.

Guessing they are still working on the capabilities they have with the extra spots on the new video boards. Hoping that game stats, etc will be shown eventually.

31-13 UND Closer than it should be for the first half. Bubba makes some halftime adjustments and UND pulls away towards the end of the third.
-
Going to be a great day for tailgating and to see the change in personality on this team in person. I fully expect a great effort from the team and that they take over the game early.
-
UND has to keep the copyright in good standing (doing so with the Dacotah Legacy Collection) and the state would also have to approve the design.
-
It can be done at any time (see below). I think the point was at the time the other schools were doing it, it was pretty much foregone that the Sioux logo would be gone. Agree that they should do it with the interlocking ND though. Basically the Alumni Association would have to fill out the form, have a minimum of fifty people committed and be willing to pay the $1,500.
-
Pretty sure the discussion has been had before here a couple times. Guessing it mainly has to do with not having a logo but not sure why they don't just use the interlocking ND. Correct that it is on the alumni association would be the likely group to get it set up.

Cheatom is listed as the #2 RDE.
